Good catch you really noticed that one. Wonder how the hell the builder managed to bolt it to the frame. I hear the bolt patterns on an xb are insane. |

I noticed it was a Buell motor. That bike took first place in the Rat Bike category at the event. He took home a really beautiful trophy. |

Hey Lornce....the road leading out of the S.O.B. repair / maintenance shop isn't a race track (to normal folk), remove the race numbers!!! Oh yeah....and is that rubber DOT approved...barely! edited by Caboose on June 13, 2004 |

Got the poster framed I picked up at Team Elves Boneville trailer last year. Numbered 64 of 100. Looking forward to this year at BSF. DBird edited by dbird29 on June 13, 2004 |

Does anyone have any pics of a blue X1 Racing Stripe that show the stripes? I'm wondering what an X1 White Lightning with blue stripes would look like... has anyone ever seen someone try it??? |

Found, or photo-fab'd? Looks like an S3T blended into the photo. |

Photoshop fab. S3T tail stretched skewed and blended in. I was talking to Torqer this week end and he suggested that the rake and frame need not be altered. Maybe just the sub-frame. I think it could work. |

After seeing that guy's XBS at Uke's during the Buell event I'm certain it could be done. |

That's just a neat as can be! However, to even come close to the S3T for touring comfort it's going to need some better wind protection up front and a decent set of touring bars... I'm noticing that the Honda ST's and Yamaha FJR's are pretty much dominating the serious sport touring market. Cafe Touring...the next niche? I think an XB12T would be a fun cruiser. Gotta conquer those ergo's. Just a slight aside...some other moto builders are noticing the Buell exhaust placement...keep an eye open for some '06 model balloons sporting under engine exhausts...biggest problem so far seems to be exhaust tube lengths. |

Thanks Turnagain I think I can get some blue ones made. I don't suppose anyone has a pic of how the stripes go around the filler on the tank?

Yeah but the 99 and 2000 stripes were diferent. The one above would be 2000 and the 99 had one wide stripe with a thin stripe on the leading edge.Which is the way that Blue one you have a picture of earlier. |

Us 3%ers went to the N Ga. mountains for mildly wet ride on Sunday. It was my first chance to let the call of the Drummer ring through the hills. We had a great time and I was pleased. In this Photo you can see the R top triple clamp on my S. I've grown to love it. The naked look of the S with sport-dedicated riding position of the R... And I kept the S pegs for comfort. I love it. I could have simply bolted on some after-market stuff but, I wanted the geometry to be the same as the R. |

No. Not from Bubba. When I ordered my pipe, Kevin talked me into a shirt. Actually, I jumped at the opportunity to have one. |

Haven't posted in a long time, just stopped in to see what's happening out there in Buell world. Bikes look great. I have been working on 2 old XS 650's so much that I haven't had time to do anything else. Take care, and keep up the good work. Morgan |

Some of us 3%ers in the Mountains: One of our local Thursday night Hangouts: If the weather is good, It is not unusual to find 300 bikes here on a Thursday. |
