Hey Guys , I thought what better forum area to ask if I should grab this 1125R w/ 12k It will need valves adj.and tires but looks pretty clean and stock, price is 2800 so I'd probably have 3800 in it to ride and enjoy. I had a white 09 1125R for a while and loved the power.Had to sell. Thank you for any feed back. | ||

Seems pretty much up to you !! I don't know what the current going prices are, but you...can do a Google search to find what people are asking, right ? Maybe search here, in the "for sale" section. It would also help if you can do the mechanical work. Check the cams closely, the front cylinder exh. cam on my CR, ended up with some ugly pits on it. Still clean and shiny lobes, no scratches...put pits. I bought all new parts...been sitting ever since, the parts still...in the bag! About 6 or 8 years ! Mike | ||

Thanks for the reply Ultimately I’ve got to decide. I also would like a XB9R again too. The price is fair for going prices and I do my own work. The valve adjustment would be a first and have to be done asap. Biggest job I’ve done was pulling the engine from a S3 I wish I still had and split the cases to dig piston pieces out and rebuild the top end. It would make my third Buell. 2000 M2 and 92 M2 now. Honestly I’d like one of each model. I’d want to get a taller bar set up, don’t know if those parts are still available. | ||

Sounds like a good price if the bike is in good condition other than the tires. If the charging system has not been upgraded you will have about $700 in that for parts. | ||

Ok I'm thinking about picking up a 2008 1125R. Good price but has 23k miles. Is this alarming? Been through a couple owners so I don't know the maintenance history. Is the charging system on the '08's reliable? Any other weak points on the '08? I had an '09 CR, have missed it ever since selling it. The R has a Barker/ECM just like I had done to my CR. | ||

Hey Seamp 2 Did you get the 08 1125R? I’m on the fence with a 09 1125R with 14K I can get it for 2500 but it will need valve adjustment and charging system upgrade.thanks tango2 May just go for it regardless I’ve enjoyed every Buell I’ve owned | ||

No, it sold before I had a chance to check it out in person. I'm always on the lookout, though. I've owned a lot of bikes over the years, and there aren't too many that I really feel a strong interest in owning again (including pretty much every Buell model). But the 1125 is one of the few. Not really sure why, it was a lot more bike than I could use as intended which is why I sold it to begin with. | ||

Well same here and it's ok as I found a 98'S1W that I bought instead. It needs help but a mostly solid S1W. Maybe a 1125 another day. Ride on.. |
