The scariest single conversation I’ve ever heard in my life was five Special Forces guys having a fun thought exercise about how they would bring a major American city to its knees. They picked Chicago, because it was a place they’d all been. It was fascinating, and utterly terrifying. And I’ll never ever put any of it in a book, because I don’t want to give crazy people any ideas. Give it about a week and people would be eating each other (and gee whiz, take one wild guess what the political leanings of most Green Berets are?). Similar dinner conversation once, with a bunch of SWAT cops from a major American city, talking about how incredibly easy it would be to entirely shut down and utterly ruin their city, with only a small crew of dedicated individuals and about forty eight hours of mayhem and •••••••• (And guess what their political leanings were? Hint, most of them were eager to retire because they’d been treated like shit by their liberal mayors, and take their pension to someplace like Arkansas) I've been in a few of those conversations. When you're camping with 10,000 people at a history buff meeting, where for a few thousand the thing that they look forward to all year is a martial arts armored melee battle that would make a riot look like tea time, except we are very polite and don't kick you after we knock you on your butt with a 6 foot rubber headed pole arm. ( because we want to have some of your good home made mead tonight, and fight again, tomorrow. For Fun. ) Anyway... Some campfires are surrounded by ultra liberals. Teachers, craft shop clerks, folk that do knitting while discussing 13th century fashion. There's a camp I drop by for their very good coffee, 24/7, which is 90% gay guys. Great conversation and dirty jokes. And since I keep doing First Aid volunteering, I some nights drop by the camp full of EMTs, who also swill coffee by the gallon, and tell really rough jokes not at all suitable for civilians that haven't had to hold a folded t shirt on a human in severe pain to stop them from bleeding out before the helicopter arrives. Quite the cross section of humanity. And there's the annual, quiet, campfire where, oddly, everyone has sworn an oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution, and several guys and ladies are active duty, but not in uniform. I don't know if it has a specific name but at some point it always turns to Threat Analysis brainstorming, aka, "if I was a Bad Guy, How would I Do terrorism?" Not because ANYBODY there wants to be a terrorist. Because Everyone wants to know how to stop them. Army Special Forces, Marines, alphabet agency, USPS, all the scary jobs.  Actually heard a FBI agent say, "you guys scare the shit out of me" during a discussion on how to do a maximum mass casualty strike on an American city. Cops know how to commit crimes, they have to, to stop them. Same thing, bigger picture. The only thing that makes this conversation different than a group of regular "security concerned" types in a bar, is most make a hobby of looking at history's events so references to King Phillip IV burning Knights Templar at the stake to avoid paying his debts and Pol Pot murdering everyone with glasses ( because intellectuals that read are a threat ) are understood and can be placed in context. 'Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation has been taken away from the people who built it,' she said. 'Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation is now led by a highly paid consultant who paid himself upward of $2 million in a single year.' BLMGNF fired back saying that Abdullah and BLMGR were 'falling victim to the carceral logic and social violence that fuels the legal system.' The statement added that 'they would rather take the same steps of our white oppressors and utilize the criminal legal system which is propped up by white supremacy (the same system they say they want to dismantle) to solve movement disputes.' In May, BLMGFN filed its first public financial disclosure, a 63-page Form 990 reporting that it took in $90 million in donations in 2020. There's more BS from the Buying Luxury Mansions organizations Blaming Lame Marxists for stealing the donations and extortion funds using CRT racist accusation language. And zero information on anything resembling charity work or helping anyone else. Blaming Lies Matter. I have no opinion on which faction of the multiple charity crime gangs that all stole the BLM name from a reasonably legit charity/political group are the worst bad guys. ( and gals! But I speak English, not Woke Lies, so the male term is Inclusive to all sexes. ) There's a tiny minority group of well meaning, maybe, people, trying to do good out there, even if I might disagree with them. Their name and reputation was identity theft exploited by greedy thieves. In public, there's no doubt about that, known since they started the Soros funded Riots in 2020. And I'm not going to try to list the alphabet soup variations of multimillionaire fraudsters. I posted on the earlier identity theft crud back in 2020 and they've added more layers of thieves and acronyms. Unfortunately it's like the FBI. Any good people have had their reputation destroyed by evil scum. The difference is that a few of the good guys in the FBI complained to Congress in legal whistle blower fashion, the system meant to reveal corruption and evil in government, and were threatened by the AG, Merrick Garland, who we can be grateful isn't on the Supreme Court, a vengeful, evil, liar. OTOH, we have BLM factions & lawsuits over who stole millions of "charity donations" from whom. Don't see any duty or responsibility motivation here. ( history is full of bitter, vengeance obsessed losers taking power and becoming murderous monsters. I'm not saying Garland being rejected for any lawyers dream job means he's going to follow Adolph's path after failing to get into art school.... But he shows the signs. And the AG/scandal/coup/Governor path is New York Tradition. ) I'd be "a plague on both your houses" attitude all the way. Except there are many people being hurt here. | ||
