It is heartening to see the ex-Soviet Union defend itself after Ukraine launched an unprovoked February attack from the north, east and from the Black Sea against defenseless Russian forces who were nothing but peaceful. Thank God that Communist China and Iran are standing up to assist Russia defend itself from this Ukrainian atrocity. | ||

Thoughts on welcoming Finland and Sweden into NATO? Some argue that they got a free ride for too long, benefiting from NATO’s shield confronting USSR/Russian aggression for a half century plus, through at least 2000 or even 2014 (Russian annexation of Crimea), when they themselves finally began upping their defense spending. | ||

Finland and Sweden both "benefited" from the NATO shield as much as Japan or Botswana. That is, like everyone on the planet not in the Brutal Dictatorship of the Soviet & Chinese Empires, they didn't get nuked, yet. Otherwise, as non-members, NATO had no obligation to protect them, like Ukraine and Georgia, both countries in a state of undeclared war with Putin. With mass casualties and near zero help until this year. Unlike Germany or Belgium, ( just as examples ) Sweden has a serious defensive military ( don't let the long hair volunteer and apparently laid back attitude fool you, they make excellent fighter bombers ) and Finland has been at war, on & off, with the Soviets for over a century. And their smoking hot PM is ready for another. Is Greece? Germany? Spain? Not even close. Arguably both have acted as a Shield for NATO more than the reverse. | ||

Insanity seems accurate. But that's because I'm skeptical that the White House Occupants are clever enough. It's possible I'm being fooled by the script writers, who write policy. They are doing great at ruining the country, so perhaps their foreign policy is being directed by the CCP, like the domestic. I'm reminded of the comedy bit where the "Government" gives one side a gun, then turns to the other and tells them the first guy has a gun. Etc. on the surface, I see stockpiles of weapons emptied & given away. But not replaced. Ditto the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which Joe* gave to the CCP. see also Party Policy on the U.S. military, which is, Woke Gender Sensitivity training, but no budget for training with actual military stuff. You can't invade the country if the country welcomed you. Remember, Ukraine is not Kiev, because of Kiev government power is not legitimate and the eastern republics did not support unlawful change of power in Kiev. So the real Ukraine is the eastern republics who welcomed Russia. Kiev with the western part of Ukraine who supported unlawful change of government in Kiev are the real separatists. The eastern republics (AKA the real Ukraine) welcomed Russia, so Russia did not invade Ukraine. So stop calling it invasion. Ukraine is the part of the country where they followed the law regarding the government power (which is eastern republics). Kiev calls them Ukraine for political reasons, but in reality Kiev is not the real Ukraine because of they gained the government power unlawfully. It looks like Russia is going to start voting among the people of eastern republics (AKA the real Ukraine) if they are willing to become the part of Russia soon. So if the voting results will be in favor to become a territory of Russia then Kiev will attack the territory of Russia and not the territory of Ukraine so that means military aggression against Russia from Kiev and if Kiev won't stop and won't release the whole territory of the eastern republics then the Kiev will likely be nuked. It looks like you are not familiar with Russian military system. Russia has mandatory military service so all men in Russia are trained. Most universities in Russia also have military branches. Also Russia mobilizes the ones who already served and have necessary military experience and education.
