Now you have to throw a water fountain!  Re: Falling Down. Edgy movie applies far too close today for too many. Re: Joe* & gravity. He was doing ok, until his heel hit the pedal, & levered the bike into the unsupported leg. It's the kind of fall us old people have when we haven't ridden in a few years, the balance is shot, there's nerve damage and weak muscles. That "stutter step" minor failure of trained reflexes, that isn't unusual, just embarrassing, if you're lucky. Breaks a hip if not. I had that problem after knee surgery. It wasn't the surgery, it was the too long period of not riding before because it hurt too much. Joe's* much older, a few strokes further towards death, and been in incompetent assisted living quite a while. How long since his last bike ride? I thought he did pretty good. His Elder Abuser family, not so much. Don't get me wrong. It looks like weakness to others. It is not the first time Joe* fell on stairs, or off an unseen obstacle, and he wanders off like many dementia cases. Joe* had a near perfect record on being wrong on foreign policy. ( Which is why the Taliban got the weapons many wish today we had to give to Ukraine or Poland, and will murder countless girls over the next few years. Maybe your's. ) And I can't think of anything he's not lied about during his life. But old farts fall down. It's life, if lucky. Let us hope they send Kamala* to a mountain bike ride! | ||
