Ocean rise? First, how is it measured? Tidal gauges, aka a stick with markings on it. A lot of them, in harbors world wide. Naval bases, weather stations, etc. In richer countries it's a toilet float and a sensor, but basically you measure the low & high and record the numbers.
I don't know what faked data is used today. I do recall a few decades back where they based the entire rise on one sensor in Hong Kong harbor, since none of the other thousands showed a rise. A slowly passing ship at the right time and you get a new peak.

Electric cars are massively more efficient than internal combustion. It cost me $9 in electricity to charge my car over the last 30 days. I think you are overestimating the quantity of additional generation necessary to compensate for the shift. Cars charge at night, AC runs hard during the day. The transmission and generation capacity is already sufficient to run AC all day. All that has to happen is for plants to run at night like they do during the day. We’ll still use less net fuel burning oil in power plants than we would burning oil in cars.
Grid solar is a pipe dream. Until someone figures out fusion (they’re 20 years away, and have been for 40 years - and may always be) fossil fuels are necessary. Home solar with battery storage is a proven and viable off grid option, but it’s massively expensive - something like a 25 year payoff. Not practical for most people. Still, for the remote home, it is cheaper than running power lines to the grid. Plenty of youtube channels dedicated to that sort of thing.

Nope. I take it as Given that the electric car turns energy into movement with greater efficiency than a gasoline engine.
There's a gazillion BTUs of fuel turning our engines in vehicles. ( assign any arbitrary number or unit ) Assume double the efficiency from well to pump/charger. That's a minimum of half a gazillion BTUs ADDITIONAL grid energy required to be generated.
The number of Terawatts required varies by prediction. But double today is probably a good start ( for vehicles alone ) and not even close to replace fossil fuels totally. That's closer to 3-4 times NEW generators.
If I were King, that could be done in a decade, and cleanly, as I would have Thorium reactors installed to greatly increase capacity, and stop burning natural gas to make electricity as much as possible so all the people could heat their homes. But I'm too old to conquer the Continent. And the Greenies won't allow a corrupt regime to fix the problem. They want to rule by Any Means Necessary.
And battery storage for intermittent generation is just expensive for your house. Too expensive for all but the wealthy.
It's literally impossible for a country our size. There aren't enough battery minerals available. ( why I'm pleased with the recycling article you posted! )

In warm summer climates that's true. In cold winter climates energy to heat houses and charge cars is at peak during the night.
I also wonder how states like California who already have brownouts, blackouts and transmission line issues during the summer will deal with the additional load.
Then there is the question of charging the thousands of 18 wheelers parked at truck stops. How long will that take? How many charging stations and how much parking area will that require? Will every truck stop have to have its own electrical substation?
Many tractor-trailer rigs travel over a million miles in their lifetime. How many batteries will they go through during that time?
Just some questions to consider before diving into "all electric".

There's a local family diner chain that has a row of chargers. Not too far off an expressway so it makes sense to plug in & spend money inside.
It's the bigger picture of Grid infrastructure. Stuff like How much & How you make juice, and the hardening needed.
Slick ideas are nice, like a Superconducting backbone so you can load level across time zones and climates will help with the increasing percentage of intermittent Greenie Virtue Signalling aka sustainable Wind & Solar. No wind and cold in New Jersey? Feed solar from Arizona. Etc. But the profit? That's a lot of power just to run the Nitrogen separation and cooling. Like many ideas it may have to wait until we get better, nearly magical, materials.
The CHOKE POINT is always the limiter, and Production is one of them. Or more accurately, the Government. If you can't get the permits to build the coal dust burning magnetohydrodynamic generators, they won't exist. Or Gas turbines. ( quick start high output generation you can throttle down to zero to load level ) Especially the need for Fission to ride us over until that perpetual 20 years in the future they've been promising for 80+ years with Fusion.

The minimum minivan version would be great. Better yet a delivery van like a Ford Transit, or best a chassis I can bolt a second generation Dodge Van body on. A shorty, 109" wheelbase, by choice.
My electric bicycle with Yamaha motor is equipped with the battery for 1000 cycles. Full charge allows 20 miles at full assist mode. So the battery will be useless in 20000 miles. 1 battery cost about $1000. So the mileage cost is $0.05 per mile.
My Buell makes 27 miles per gallon,or 27 miles per $6 or $0.22 per mile.
So Buell mileage is about 4 times more expensive than electric bicycle.
