Koreans plant an A-bomb in that volcano off the coast of Spain to trigger the uber Tsunami to wipe out the U.S. East coast. It's badly written, too. Even that lousy editor wouldn't buy a conspiracy novel about today's real events. ( to be fair it was written before the volcano actually erupted ) That said, publicly declaring you want to commit violence against Anyone is stupid and worse than useless, it's giving bad people ammo to destroy you. Some, like Kodak, are just coasting on the intellectual property created years ago ( by people I worked with ) rented out to enrichen a few surviving thieves in charge. ( and who declared bankruptcy after stealing the pension fund, then got a bonus approved by the court, while the retired are robbed. There's only a limited number of "enemy" legislators. There are ways to publish their home addresses, and while the Capitol may be fenced and have armed thugs guarding IT, it's a lousy fortress. Oh, good enough to keep a few idiots out, sure. But why attack a fortress when the enemy lives elsewhere? That's not a scenario I favor, but most of my thinking has been about threats from terrorists, in the context of discussions with pros on fighting them, & the smart strategies use force multipliers. A 4x4 with tow chains, a generator, and a plasma torch can wreck havoc if applied correctly. No, I won't elaborate. I know smart people, you might be one too. I disagree with the Bad Orange Man. It's not genius when you have permission, and you Paid your servants to let you do whatever you want. And they are sure we can stop using fossil fuels, if we just wish hard enough and click our heels three times. Some of them are very good at highly specialized jobs, but for the rest? Bah. They’re a bunch of maleducated toddlers. Take their theory that they can print all the money they want and there will be no inflation. or that we can pay off the national debt by printing a bill in that amount. Toddlers. The other potential problem here is, Putin how has access (unrestricted, complete, and total access) to thousands of tons of dirty-bomb material. He (wait, nevermind - "terrorists", because the Russian government would NEVER do such a thing) can simply build as many dirty bombs as he wants, and distribute them to any nation he thinks deserves it. Putin was quoted as saying when announcing the invasion of Ukraine “whoever tries to impede us, let alone create threats for our country and its people, must know that the Russian response will be immediate and lead to the consequences you have never seen in history.” The press is focusing on thermonuclear attack as the meaning of his threat; I think he means to spread dirty bombs instead, for the simple reason that he can spread those (correction - again - he can HAVE those spread by terrorists) without it being a direct action of the Russian government. "Those are terrorists who do not act on behalf of my government (wink, wink)"...but it'll kill just as many people. Just, without retaliation against his nation. | ||

I was going to pick up some 124gr for practice, since my new EDC loads are 124...but every time I clicked on one in the list..."sold out". 115gr is plentiful and I may stock up on that instead, but I prefer to practice with what I carry. Just in case. You wouldn't think it would make much difference, but in a 3" subcompact? It's noticable. | ||
