I think it is the right time to part with my Buell collection. Please let me know if I’m wrong, but I’m thinking that at my asking price, someone with enough time could make a pretty cool bike, and sell the extra parts for close to what they gave me. I am hoping a Badwebber will come take it all because I want it to go to someone who will do something cool with it. So here's what we've got: A 2000 S3T with ~19k miles and the following installed: -TWIN shock -Full race exhaust with dual O2 bungs welded onto professionally ceramic coated headers -XB rocker and positive crankcase ventilation kit -Double ended shutoff quick disconnect in the fuel line -Aftermarket LED mirror/turn signals and LED flasher -Cleanable oil filter -Forcewinder The bad: -Color matched Deep hard bags have a little cracking -Original Front Motor Mount was ground down after the the Forcewinder was installed (would make it difficult to get the original air cleaner back on) -I tried to put heat reflector on the underside of the fuel tank, and the gooey adhesive dripped on the engine here and there. It can be pulled off, it’s just tedious. See pictures. I’m not trying to hide anything. Parts that are not installed: -New-in-Box Frame Fan -Original turn signals and mirrors -Taller Zero Gravity screen -Original air cleaner -Fairing bags 1999 X1 Red with about 22k miles, but fully dismantled and in boxes. Yeah, I know. Dismantled to start a custom project, and then didn't finish it. All the stock parts are there, and it ran well upon disassembly. Here's what was on it: -Forcewinder -Fiberglass underseat -PM Wheels -Otherwise stock Expensive shiny new parts: -Stage 1 Thunderstorm Heads by Hammer Performance -Front motor mounts by Hammer Performance -LSL rearset kit for X1 -Front and rear Isolators -Rear LED tail-light with integrated turn signals for X1 -Recall timing chain tension-er -Galfer Wave brake rotor -2 new oil drive gears -Oberon intake flanges Other stuff: -Penske shock rebuilt by local motorcycle dealer -D and D muffler and mount -X1 and S3 factory service manuals -Dell netbook with Windows 10 and a paid for copy of ECMspy for BUEKA -Sportster Engine cradle -Heavy Duty Rubbermaid cart drilled to hold Sportster Engine Cradle (if you want it) Kind of broken stock parts that I haven't thrown away: -Stock muffler where the front mount ripped out -Stock 16 in shock that leaked My ideal ending here is that someone comes and takes everything away from me for $4500. If it has anything to do with Buell, then you are welcome to it. I am sure that I have left some stuff out. Let me know if you have any questions or want to see any other pictures appear. https://www.flickr.com/photos/tschase_1200/albums

This is a smoking deal for a Tech. The S3 could for sure stay running a lot longer and the X1 could be something special! |

What is that orange/reddish part where the head bolt goes on the S3? http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 889305.jpg |

Bsanorton, I'd like to give it at least a couple weeks to see if anyone would like the whole lot. If not, then I might look into letting the S3T go and consider parting out the X1 in about year when I expect to have more time. 34nineteen, Those are just some cute bolt head covers.

Location Update: I'm in Portsmouth, VA. Transportation Update: I've realized that this might be a daunting amount of stuff to haul. For full asking price + $0.40/round trip mileage, I'm willing to aid in transport out to a 4 hour drive radius. I have a motorcycle specific trailer that could easily transport the S3T and possible the X1 frame. I haven't measured, but the engine and cradle might just fit in the back of my small tow vehicle. Take your time on the X1. post up a pic of the X1 when it was together. Send a pack of pictures to your shops. Who was a Buell dealer in VA? |

how are the plastics on the X1? And the frame? Are there 2 clean titles involved? Very tempting indeed... |

Sorry, I missed that last post for a bit. I will take pictures later, but the tank and front fender for the X1 are quite good. If memory serves, the front lip is intact but looks like it was aboard a bike with 20k miles. The underseat section is an aftermarket color matched unit that has seen an ugly repair to the bracket that bolts to the seat frame. |

And yes, I hold both titles. Both clean. |

The spots on the screen appear to be above the paint. I removed one with a fingernail.

The frame is pretty dusty. I wiped the top tubes before this picture.

Would you sell the frame fan separately? |
