2001 Buell M2 Cyclone in excellent condition with a full Buell Pro Series stage 1 setup.
(intake/jet kit, muffler and ignition)

One of the smoothest M2's I've ever ridden.
All light work, horn works, neutral/oil lights work.
Bike runs and shifts very smoothly.
Only issue is there is a small dent on the bottom of the muffler.

Previous owner maintained the bike very well.
25k+ miles.
Previous owner had following work done professionally:
- frame sandblasted and powder coated because the original frame paint started hazing
- powder coated the rear swing arm and front engine mount
- sanded/polished/cleared the triple trees
- repaired cracks in tail section (repairs painted black.. can be touched up with matching paint)
- new intake seals
- all work performed in 2018

Only reason why I'm selling is to purchase a Ulysses.
All questions welcomed!

Hey Jespo,

Do you have the left bread box?
Are you willing to ship?
Would you take $3000?

Nice Cyclone Jerry & a real sharp price too. Is it an 'L' as in lower seat height or an 'ordinary' height. Not that I'm in the market just yet - wife & I have just finished paying the mortgage so I can finally start squirrelling some money away to get the long desired, dreamed about for the last 5 or so years, pre 2010 Buell. Of course, she thinks a new bathroom AND remodelled kitchen are priorities. I have news & it doesn't include anything made of wood . . . at this stage

I've been amazed that over the last 4-5 years the prices of Tubers in particular have remained fairly constant & give what I consider real good value for money. Even taking into consideration exchange rates (US$ to NZ$) plus freight a Buell landed in NZ is far cheaper than a 2000 era HD's & WAY cheaper than 1970's British which is what I grew up on. XB's SCG's (not Ulysses - not a fan) , seem to be the exception. There appear to be less & less of them for sale on BadWeb, which is the only place I will trust to buy a bike sight unseen from. Most posters seem to know each other or know OF each other so I figure that will provide the best chance of getting a straight shooter. Anyway, enough dribbling from me Good luck with the sale - hope ya get to move it on to a good home hopefully someone in the fandamily !! Cheers

Thanks for checking out the M2!
Good question about this M2 being an 'Low' model.
It could be.
Anyone know how to tell other than the lower seat?

I believe the L has a different front shock mount (lowered) and a shorter kickstand.

That's a beautiful M2. It looks like a low version with: lowered seat, short kick stand, long shock.

The parts manual for the 2002 M2 shows a type designation at the 4th and 5th position of the VIN. It is KS for the M2 and LS for the M2L. The parts manual for the 2001 does not show this so I don't know if it holds true for 2001.

I do know that the measurement of the kickstand from the center of the pin to the bottom of the foot is 13-1/4" for the M2 and 12-1/4" for the M2L.

Also the preload numbers for the rear shock are 15.2 - 15.5" for the M2 and 15.6 - 15.9" for the M2L. That is center eye to eye with rider seated.

Because of the tuber swingarm geometry a half inch lengthening of the shock translates to a 1 inch shorter height.

Hopefully this will help you figure out your model.

Thanx to all 4 of you for the "L" info guys - appreciated. Reason I asked is had one of my lower discs was eaten away with another looking "flea bitten" (Doctors quote/description) a few years back & I've ended up losing an inch or two in height.
