I'm a bit old fashioned, but in this case I will agree in part with the prof. There are better, more accurate terms, better words, for pedophile. I prefer ones like "killed to protect the children", and "locked away from children, forever". But your opinion may differ. I feel sorry for the prof, since odds are good my preferred pronouns for child molester didn't apply to the ones that influenced him as a child. | ||

Makes me think of now we are to say "enslaved people", rather than "slaves", as if that makes the thought of the past brutalities any less repugnant. I suppose it conveys the thought that they were forced into it, rather than destined, but again, no less repugnant.
