He's had a year to learn the Pirelli tires and the circuits. I think the Euros are definitely going to know his name this year! https://www.crash.net/wsbk/results/974276/1/2021-o fficial-barcelona-worldsbk-test-thursday-midday-re sults |

Gerloff is still the fastest guy NOT riding a Ducati: https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/world-superbi ke-redding-quickest-gerloff-p3-as-test-ends-in-spa in/ Of course, Kawasaki wasn't at this test, but still... |

Good to see Gerloff doing well. Hopefully when they have a full boat of riders his first full year of experience plus his talent will bode well for the American representative! Now to see what Cam and Joe can do in Moto2 next...without crashing! |

Gerloff third fastest today! It doesn't look like WSBK is being televised in the States anymore. I can't find it in my guide. Figures... just when we have a COMPETITIVE American in the series too. Same as Moto2... TWO Americans in the series, but the races aren't being televised. DAMN I miss beIN Sports!! |

Sign up for the streaming service. It's on demand and well worth the $70 or $80 it cost for the season. MA is a joke and MotoGP is broadcast on tape delay. |

I don't know why you seem to think MotoAmerica is a joke; I find the racing to be VERY good. The fact that I've met and spoken to most of the competitors makes it even better for me. Why do you seem to think MotoAmerica is a joke?? |

Gerloff is a hazard and stupid. Taking out a fellow Yamaha rider and championship contender on a impossible pass in the first corner is inexcusable. He did not do American racers any favors with his head up ass move in the Assen race 2. |

Redding's true colors are coming out now. What a whiny B!@#$. Toprak is winning the championship this year. Can't help but love the way Toprak rides a Superbike. If it wasn't for the bowling ball named Gerloff, Toprak would have a significant lead in the points. |

Toprak finds something on Sunday at the new Navarra circuit in Spain and had the biggest win of his career! What a ride. PS, the Yamaha is fast. On par with the Ducati now. Both bikes walk away from the Kawi on the straights. Kawi used to be the best bike on the grid, but no longer. If JR is going to win the Championship it will be the hardest earned title of his career. He is crashing because he has to ride it on the edge to be competitive. |

Chaz Davies is packing it in after this year. I wonder if Loris Baz found his new ride for 2022? Guess it all depends on how he does this weekend... |

I was in Indianapolis and saw the accident that killed Peter Lenz. I'd met that kid a couple of times when taking California Superbike School; he was absolutely amazing and made us older guys on our 1000cc Superbikes look like stationary objects on the track when he'd blast by us on his 250. He was another one who had unlimited potential. |

Yeh. Youth = fearlessness. Couple that with skills and a dash of experience and you have a champion. |

If JR wins this championship it will be the luckiest one in the history of racing. Toprak has had 3 DNFs--none of which were his fault. Gerloff the bowling ball took him out and two mechanicals (one leading a race and one in 2nd position). Meanwhile, Mr. Horseshoe Jonny Rea has had 4 DNFs each of which were solo crashes. I can't believe it. Toprak has been by far the most consistent and fastest rider by every measurement. This is compelling because it is the young gun who can do no wrong vs. the 6-time champion who has to over ride his bike because it is no longer on the best in the paddock. One good thing is more drama for us with only a 24 point lead for Toprak, because had the luck been the other way around he could have 150 point lead by now and it would be all over. BTW, the racing is the best I have ever seen and JR, Toprak and Redding (aka the whiner) are getting a little pissy with each other. I love it. (Message edited by fresnobuell on October 05, 2021) |

Looks like Baz has an opportunity to ride for Bonomo satellite team on the BMW next year. Says a lot for Gagne since Baz was unable to topple him in Moto America. |

That's what I've been saying. Surprised it is a BMW team and not a Ducati team looking to hire Baz though considering how well Baz was doing on their bikes. |

Baz seems to be in demand all of a sudden. Interesting that a guy who was castaway to MA can now be a hot WSBK commodity. I hope he lands a spot in WSBK, although we will miss him in the MA paddock. He is another cool Euro. Gave us a signed kneeslider out of blue last year while we were hanging out by his pit area (and you can actually read the signature which is always nice!) I was surprised his team let him go last year but then when they themselves didn't come back I guess I understood. Still, I was surprised no one else snapped him up. He may get Davies' seat next year if he keeps this up. |

Huge weekend in the Championship. I think this is where Toprak confirms that he is the best rider hands down in the WSBK paddock if he hasn't done so already. It has been a long time since there has been so much drama at the end of a season for any series--both in the points and also with interpersonal conflicts, which are so rare in these days of all the riders being so buddy-buddy. |
