My Buell starts easy and idles smoothly. Over 3500rpm it runs well, but from off idle to 3000+ rpm it bucks, misses, and runs awful. Any ideas where to start looking? |

Probably fuel pump or fuel regulator is going out, has enough umph to idle but once you need more fuel delivery it can't keep the pressure up. |

Since it starts and idles well, and runs well above 3500rpm, I would: If it has been a while, I would start with ECMSpy and confirm no fault codes, make sure the AFV was around 100 (or reset it to that) and do a proper TPS reset. Check to see if the problem continues. If it does, I would replace the intake manifold seals first, especially if they have not been replaced recently. I suspect a lean condition in the trouble area. Might try running until the engine is warm, and see if the RPM 'hangs' in the 2000rpm area when the throttle is closed. If it does (I have had that happen) a new set of intake seals will cure the issue. Hope this helps, Dave |

Oops, I thought I read that it “doesn’t” run well over 3500 rpm. What Akbuell said, probably intake seals. |

I wonder if Jag ever found the problem. |
