Does anybody know where I can find some frame sliders for a 2000 X1? Everything I see is for an XB or other bikes. Thanks, Skip

LSL makes them. I called the folks at Kneeddraggers.com as they sell other LSL products, and ordered mine from them. DO a search for LSL on the web and find a local supplier that can get them for you.

we carry the LSL sliders..I just looked, they're not on our website, I'll get that fixed right away. $184.95 for the set. They're stout.

Al,

Do you know if they make the spacers between the mount and the bobbin a little longer? If you have a forcewinder on, the aircleaner sicks out past the frame slider. Also the header sticks out just about even with the slider.

Blue -- if they don't it's reaslly easy to spin up a longer spacer . . . no big deal at all

be aware, however, that the stockers sork just fine on a M2, pretty much same fram geometery and headers . . . . headers didn't touch the pavement at all

And just how did you test that?

empirical data is much better than guesstimations, I'm thinkin'

let's just say that, for the sake of knowledge and the good of tuber riders everywhere, I sought out the data, found it, and reversed the situation before anyone else saw the procedure!

Thank you Dr. Bomber. Me thinks I may invest in a some frame sliders as well as having my new soles put on by boots. LOL

FYI, the "spacer" is an aluminum rod, approximately 1.5" diameter, 2" long, with a .410 diameter hole thru them. As John (bomber) said, it would be fairly trivial to make longer ones if necessary, you would need to by a longer bolt as well. From the surface of the frame tube, the sliders will protrude approximately 3.88".

Yeah, I knew it wouldn't be too hard to make, I just don't have access to a lathe yet (gonna get one soon!!!) I just noticed by the looking straight down that it's close to even on the header (I have the blue ceramic coated X1W header) and my Forcewinder sticks WAY out past. Hopefully I'll never dump it anyways, but would be good to be prepared.
