***Ordered the Dorman part - gonna try and go that way...THANKS, Sorry for the noise*** (Need a good exhaust actuator for my "new to me" '08 Uly. It's definitely bad - and if it was fixable before I took it apart, it definitely is NOT now. Just got my bike May 4 and she's a former garage queen with 2800 miles on the clock - I plan on "fixing" that this summer. Don't want to swap out exhaust and would like for the stock stuff to work. Thanks in advance! ps - I'm in Middle Tennessee (Hendersonville) if that matters.) (Message edited by red_hat_picker on June 25, 2021) |

If Rick doesn't have one, I have an extra one that came with my 09 XB12SS. Not sure if they are interchangeable or not. (Message edited by Newmans3 on June 26, 2021) |

All of them are interchangeable. The newest versions have metal gears and are more durable than the earlier versions with plastic gears. You can probably find the part number for the newest version with a little digging, but there’s no harm in using an older one if it’s cheap or free. |

Hey guys, THANKS! I messed around and ordered the Dorman part, kinda wish I hadn't now but it'll be here Monday. I've gotta change out the cable cam and make a little cable bracket, but it doesn't look too tough. |
