After nearing two decades of having both Harley and many sport bike riders give my Cyclone the 'stink-eye' when I ride by, and having gotten somewhat used to it, I was totally surprised to have people walking up to me recently as I'm gassing up and heaping praise on my M2 as well as asking all sorts of questions...Who makes that? What model/year? How do you like it?, etc. Especially younger sport bike riders who seem to be totally oblivious to the tube frame Buells. Could it be that the tubers are finally beginning to get the recognition they so richly deserve? Well, stranger things have happened... |

even in their heyday, I got questions like that. Most folks don't know that there is something other than a dresser, cruiser, or sportbike. Now, they are wanting what we've always had. Even BMW, with their new 9T, is leanring that. |

Anybody check out the Indian FTR or the Harley Pan American. Both look like what I would Imagine the Buells to look like now. |

I rarely get much attention from people, but when I do it's fairly consistent with the conversation I had Wednesday afternoon. "what is that?" "It's a Buell" "no, the motorcycle" "it's a Buell" "who made it??" "Buell" "oh, ok..." *walks away...* |

My S1W gets a fair amount of attention at lights and gas satiations. Lot's of from those "in the know" and lots of "what is that a Ducati?" from those not "in the know". Of all my twins, naked and sport the 03 RC51 gets the most attention. The Buell is a close second, with the TL1000R and RSV Mille trailing behind... |

Even when riding my RS1200, my wife gets all the looks while on her S3 trike. Ah Well. Almost no one knows what an RS1200 is. |

An S3 trike is a pretty rare thing. I am curios, who did the conversion? |

Sent Frankenstein trikes a spare steel swingarm. they welded on the brackets and sent as a kit kit back to us. Wife and I put it together. Rock solid stable to a top end of 125 MPH. Increased the rake by lowering the back end. That was easy by using a 16.5" shock with a 14.8" sock mount. Lowered by over 3". Also added a steering damper, because all trikes have one. https://frankensteintrikes.com/ |
