Hey everyone, I tore down my bike years ago to repaint everything and apparently somewhere along the line i lost the gas cap gasket that surround the actual cap in the tank cover. I'm sure there is a proper name for it, especially since my searching has come up with nothing. Does anyone know where I would be able to find a new one? |

Fuel Cap Boot old and new part number: 61439-94Y and P0152.2A Also get yourself a tube of Hylomar, the non-hardening sealant used by the factory. It is impervious to gasoline and ethanol. https://st-paul-harley-davidson-buell.myshopify.co m/products/p0152-2a-genuine-buell-fuel-cap-rubber- boot-1995-2002-s1-s2-s3-x1-m2-models-b4l?_pos=1&_s id=28ab4864d&_ss=r |

Sorry i know it was a more vague comment but without knowing what to call the part its harder to describe it properly. I attached a link to the part on the tank cover I am looking for. I need the gasket that sits on /in the tank cover. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http %3A%2F%2F488b2480da004f6bbdf71cd7dfc77ea1.objectst ore.eu%2Fp%2Fe%2Fd%2F5cl8-347863c383ea23a57452db06 f88c43de.JPG&f=1&nofb=1 |

How were you able to determine that there were some new old stock available? I tried ordering at my local dealership and they said no stock/discontinued from Harley directly |

As I stated in my post, they are at Vintage Parts and can be ordered from Vintage Parts through any Harley Dealer, obviously whomever you spoke to at your dealership didn't check that source which is odd because that is the liquidation company where HD sends all their discontinued inventory including Buell parts. Here's a link to their site and you can type in whatever part number you are looking for and it will show how many they have left if they have them. Some items have not been discontinued yet and are still available through HD for the time being. But once it has reached Vintage Parts and the quantity is depleted that is it, no more. Someone can't type correctly cause they have it listed as Fuel Filter Trim but the description on Harley's internal part number lookup is labeled correctly as Fuel Filler Trim. https://www.vpartsinc.com/2575-m0119-8a |

Just to clarify, you can look up the parts inventory on their site but you can not order from them, they only act as a liquidation supply warehouse for Harley-Davidson dealers as well as GM, John Deere, BRP, Ford, etc.... |

I retract my statement, they have just announced that Vintage Parts will now start selling to the public. So, keep that website in your bookmarks incase you need some new old stock parts. |
