"I like the route you posted. Keep it the same as the original TQ F. But there's a decision to be made. From Showlow to Springerville, we could burn out the 60, fast but boring. OR, we could take the southern route (260) slower but very pretty (Little towns). Hmm, which one??? " 260 of course, I ride to enjoy the scenery and curves. I don't know about you guys, if you want straight and fast, ride with the Ninja crowd. I was in Showlow on Sunday with David. No construction closures, we flew on by it all. Maybe it's only closed for construction on the weekdays. But coming back through the Salt is fun too, and we can part ways in Superior where we met. |

Bart, Was hoping you'd say that. I hated the 60 on the way home... But it was getting late, remember. Man it was cold. |

hi,guys! i pretty sure i can swing those days.my only concern is i don't want to slow everyone up.it's been about 6yrs since i've ridden so my skill level isn't what it used to be,but it is coming back.don't get me wrong i like the twisties too!i just won't be taking them as fast as some of you and if you don't mind that then i'm in for the ride.it's not like your gonna have to wait for me,i'll just be in the back. let me know if you guys are cool with it? and if not i will not be butt hurt over it.i know what its like when guys get together and do some serious riding. |

James, no problem with the slow riders. We do believe in EVERYONE having a good time. Trust me, we have ridden with slow riders before. (where's AL?) And there have been no problems. We stress the fact that you should NEVER ride beyond your limits or experience. We won't rag you about it, we WILL pull over every so often, (SO I can have a smoke) This usually gives you time to catch up. We understand that some are faster then others and try to accomodate all. REMEMBER!!! This route has some tricky corners. Descending right handers, etc. One person killed himself last year, lets not let that happen again. This should be a good time for all, Let's keep our heads straight and enjoy the ride. Tripods forever!!! |

It's much more honorable to make it at whatever speed than not make it at all. I'm not fast either and that's MY rationalization. |

Alright, I also found out that I'll be in Showlow on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th (Or was it 3rd, 4th and 5th?)... Anyway... That means I may be able to do the whole run with you. |

No problem JWZ, just don't let my wife Elizabeth pass you! LOL! Just kidding. Seriously though. I read a really good article called the pace and loved it. You'll have no problem from any of us. We all ride within limits, with the understanding that it's the street, not the track... It's all about taking in the scenery and having a good time. Bart, Straight and fast??? Not my Buell? LOL! Hey, I've been thinking about Daryl ever since this plan came together. And since you mentioned it... Would anyone object to stopping and placing flowers, or riveting a plaque in his memory? I didn't know him personally, but that experience really affected me and I'll never forget him... |

Me too Charlieboy... It was right when I was buying my 12 and I almost changed my mind. Also, "The Pace", when I get the chance will be on my bike on my side of the wind shield. |

You guys are a bunch of hooligans and you know it! What, with M1's insane burnouts, Wycked's 200 ft long stoppies, and Bart throwin' that S1 around like a rag doll...I'm afraid of riding with y'all! jwz7-don't sweat it. These guys are some of the nicest you'll ever ride with. No massive egos or negativity to newbees...trust me I am one! |

YOU'RE a newbie... Who was following YOU through the salt river canyon miles behind Art and David? Oh, and once I actually experienced the price of new tires I nixed the burn outs . I actually run the spars regularly so I can keep a nice even profile. I still like to JUMP the 12R though . |

That was so cute... Wyckedflesh.... I almost had a tear fall... hehehehehehe You could always let the Jwz7 follow me around... then I could slow down and you all could keep up heheheheh...Then he could see what a 9R can do on the streets... Bart I will get with you on those days for that weekend when it gets closer...16th,, 17th.. I will still be come back from the east coast and may have to go straight to Vegas for work... Not sure yet... You all be safe.... The flowers or plaque for the down rider would be great in Memory of! |

Has Wycked fessed up on where he's goin' yet??? This weekend's not lookin' good for me now... It may change, but it'll be last minute so I don't want to tie you guys into anything. If you all do ride somewhere this weekend keep the shiny side up! |

I'm pretty much a newbie too Jwz but I can vouch for one thing. Gel padded bicycle shorts under my jeans/riding pants have saved my keister! Much more comfortable in the long run... BNB, I'm going to meet up with the San Diego group at 0900 @ SD HD. We're riding up to the races in a group from there. I'll give you a call and let you know how it all comes together/if I'm going to make it. Right now, the people covering me at work are kinda sketchy. Sucks when people say they'll work for ya and then try to bail at the last minute! |
