Been looking for one and all I can find are new Carbon Fiber units. I've seen several S1's for sale with the tag 'fits X1.' Is this true? How would it mount to the X1 fork? Thanks. |

S1s and X1s use the same front fender, the mounts on the forks are exactly the same. An S3 fender will fit your bike as well, but is a slightly different style. I have an S3 fender on my S1. |

I’m putting 3 front fenders on eBay in the next day or so and maybe a brand new 1997 S1 carbon rear |

S1s and X1s use the same front fender Same styling - yes! Same fender - not exactly. The X1 fenders had a slightly larger - taller - open area where the fork legs run through. |

Damn, that green is a bit off, almost the Italian flag! Lol |

Court, have you listed these? Is the red a 95 style? I’m interested! |

That green is from 1996 . . . . yep, a year before it showed up. We were considering a number of colors but Dave U was undecided. The guys in the body shop created a complete set of Amazon Green bodywork for the LOA S2. We installed it and Scott Miller, from Buell Distribution Corp, signed me up for the Honda Hoot in Asheville and some BMW events. I'd leave Kansas and ride all over the country . . . park the bike at the events and stand back and keep notes on how folks reacted when they saw the green Buell. I'd also spend time talking to them and getting their general impression of Buells. The 114RWHP S2, that is sitting here and will be sold soon, is outfitted in Amazon Green body work. I also have boxes of various saddlebag combinations and I'm betting when I get into those boxes some of them will be green as well. Be mindful that lots of this stuff was 18 months before it went into production so there are some odd variants. I also found a couple of the test front brake rotors for the S1 that we were evaluating when we made the change to the front disk. I have a couple units from Kelsey-Hayes and someone else. These maybe be wall art but never saw duty as actual brake rotors. A lot of thought went into the LOOK of the front brake rotor. There was a good reason, to show it off, that the single rotor sat on the top side of the parked bike . . . the look, while not the determining factor, was also not ignored. |

I keep seeing claims of M@ fenders fitting... looks like it would need the brace. How would that all work? I have no front fender at the moment and would like something minimalist. |

The M2 fender is a completely different beast. It does need the brace, which the fender bolts to... which in turn bolts directly to the fork legs. I would imagine those claims arise from webpages such as this, which imply cross compatibility, but they do not interchange. https://mdicarbonfiber.com/products/buell-m2-front -fender-carbon-fiber I'm sure you could, if you fabricated custom brackets... but why not just use a universal fender if that was the case? |

how do the universal fenders work? At this point, for the cost, i might as well get a carbon fiber unit. |
