It’s an absolutely gorgeous bike! Detailed and maintained to better than new it appears, I wouldn’t question it if someone said it had 2 miles on it! Plus all the spares and extras?! Oh If I was closer I’d be there with cash in hours! |

Buell47, the photos are in this thread. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/879707.html?1612806778 Jerry, how do I convince my wife that I need this bike and it should go in the living room? It is beautiful. I wish you were closer to IL. I would love to buy it but have little time to make the trip to pick it up. Good luck with the sale brother. |

Damnit I’m 2205 miles away! I know shipping a bike could be pretty easy, it’s all the extras that they probably wouldn’t do and would cost a bundle to UPS/fedEX... know any NHRA racers headed to the west coast? |

Just a note on this bike. This bike would not be able to be titled in the state of california, because it is the 49 state model and has less than 7500 miles. |

Less than 7500 miles, but old enough.. believe a vehicle 10 yrs or older is exempt |

Unfortunately jerrys2 is 100% correct and I do not see there’s ANY 10 year exemption... lame ass emissions regulations... here’s a screenshot from the California DMV website with the allowed exemptions.... .

Fairly amazing bike . . . that is precisely how mine began life in 1994. The block on the swingers is entirely stock. The fairing stay was about the first recall and the next one, that tank, you needn't worry about a bit. I have considered rejuvenating mine but am seeing less and less chance of doing so. Mine is a bit historic in that it was the first Buell to see most the amazing motorcycle roads in 44 states, 37 on one trip. I am in the process of cleaning out a barn . . . with a contractor arriving in a couple weeks to start work on a gym and it's been fun going through the cases and cases of old S2 stuff ranging from prototype parts . . . to the experimental sets of lowers and bags from 1994 . . 2 years before they were offered on the S2T. I even found a brand new white fairing, still in the box last night. I just wanted to drop a note and compliment you for keeping the bike in such pristine condition. At your price, it's not only a steal, it's a piece of history. Keen folks will spot some of the styling cues that represented a first on motorcycles. I'm tempted . . . . but will leave this for the younger guys to enjoy. By the way . . I found a package of the 1995 catalogs yesterday . . . don't know if you had the pleasure to see them but it was done by Laughlin Constable and was some of the best photography ever done of a Buell. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/752530.html?1416665081 Well done ! |

Court, Thank You for the kind words! Looks like the bike will be leaving Thursday afternoon with it's new owner. It is going to someone you may know. I kind of lost interest in the bike when H-D shut Buell down, along with ALL respect for H-D, for the MANNER in which they did it. As we all know karma is a bitch, and always catches up with us, and it sure looks like it's catching up with H-D now. A slow, painful, and embarrassing death. It couldn't have happened to a "More Deserving Bunch Of Clowns". |

Jerry: I concur. I, at long last, have made the commitment . . . with a contractor scheduled to start some work the moment I can get everything out of the way . . . .to part with ALL the Buell stuff. I'm going to sell both bikes, the American Sport Bike "Ulysses Survival Kit" and everything in these 55 shipping boxes. I will sell a lot of the shirts, the particularly fun ones. . . but tossed about 200 of them in today's bin . . . simply no room to store the stuff. Congrats on finding a good home for the S2 !

Damn Court! Probably lots of cool stuff! Kinda heartbreaking to see stuff-and history- getting thrown away! But like you said, no room to store or pack and move, let alone the time and effort too! There’s gotta be a thrift store or homeless shelter to take clothing.... I’ll send you my address and PayPal you for shipping on just about anything, clothing, and anything for my collection.. s2, x1, M2, xb12ss, and 1125r ... I’ll be watching your eBay account for new items as well... |

I thought about selling the stuff or at least some "packages" . . .stuff like RS and RR stuff together . . . . I'll stick it all on e-Bay eventually but the present objective is "out of the way" The "hardware" . . . S2 luggage and cases of new Uly parts is easy . . . the part I hate to toss is the cases of old correspondence between Erik, I and the engineering team and stuff like a confidential concept bike manual |

Court, according to most state laws, anything in a trash can is public property, for the taking. Police & Detectives mine for evidence in them every day! My question is...... what day is your trash pickup? What street do ya live on? I will go dumpster diving for them discarded items! If I can get to them first.....hate to see them end this way!!! What's your flee bay account so I can keep an eye out for RS stuff? I picked up 1989 #5 of 7 built I am told, Blue. |
