So have just stripped down an 04 XB12s. Cams had to be levered out of the cases, Inner bushes on the rear cylinder came out with the cams and had seized onto their shafts. Front cams where tight but came out of the bushes. Bike hasnt got a lot of miles on it but has been used on a few track days in the past. The crank measured up with little run out. Oil pump seems ok. Suspect the cam bearings are starving for oil when bike is revved hard continuously ie track days. Going to have to chase down some used cases although I think a good machinist could clock off the flywheel side cam bush hole and machine for new bushes.
Interested to hear from other Buellers who have had similar experiences and what they did about it. Cheers

Or maybe they revved the engine up right after starting the cold engine.
