Thanks Stone Mountain Harley Davidson/Buell When I first bought my bike ya'll have been good to me, treating me right. All except for the service department. Thankfully ya'll have seen the need for change, and did something about the sentence written in red. When I go to the service department now, I'm treated with the same respect given to those that bought "real harleys." I've seen ya'll go from being an OK dealership to an all round great dealership and service center. Thumbs up! and thank you for seeing the need to keep Buellers happy. edited by Glitch on June 08, 2004 |

I second the sentiments expressed by Glitch. I was extremely impressed from the first day I stepped in the shop. There are'nt too many places a blue haired freak gets treated with much respect. I thought it was awesome that the guy I spoke with on the phone before coming down was willing to turn my business over to Pete because he had more knowledge of the Buell product line. But then again, maybe I just scared him. Through all my trials and tribulations this past year everyone down there has been willing to go the extra mile to do whatever they could to help me out. Thanks for making me part of the family and thanks for understanding that Buell is not just an illegitimate stepchild of the mother company! |

Adam, I don't think Cummins will ever understand Buell... We had Jim McCaslin, the COO of Harley here at school a month or so ago... They provided quite a few trinkets to put around the school for everyone to see, but no Buells. It's Harley Day, I can understand that. Since they didn't have any Buells there, I decided to add mine to the collection in front of our Campus Center... A quite a few people from school asked what the bike was, and I explained the Buell connection to HD, and a bit about Erik's ideas about building bikes (it is an engineering school and all) The people from Cummins couldn't figure out why the Buell was there, half of them had no idea what I was talking about, or what the bike even was. Jim was a very cool guy though. This picture made the school newspaper a few weeks ago: I'm not even going to start the horror stories about trying to get parts from them... I just go for a drive and visit Tony. Alex edited by awprior on June 09, 2004 |

I will definitely be in for one within the next week and a half... After that, I'm off to Vegas for a few days, then I have three weeks of prep work to get done before I start on the Ride Across America... I'll give one of you a jingle towards the end of the week. I need to track Tony down anyway, need to finalize stuff for the trip to Newfie. Alex |

I think SMHD/Buell should stock more regular wear items as well as some Carbon fiber stuff and a few other mod items. If you guys have suggestions... Post them on the 3% bragging rights thread. Please Thanks for the cudos, I'll see that they passed around. |
