Damn shame about Scholz. I'm sure Gagne would NOT have wanted to seal up second in the championship in this way. On another subject, I decided to play it safe and took a COVID19 test yesterday since Indiana is listed as one of the "hot" States by my own. The test came back negative much to my relief. Hey, if Valentino Possi can test positive, ANYONE can!! Better safe than sorry. |

Late to the game re; Indy, but I was buried in the paddock with my Heritage Cup buddy all weekend. Talk about feeling locked down! There was no obvious easy way to head to the spectator areas. There was one concession stand in the paddock, and it closed at 2:00 pm daily!!!! You had to stock up before they dropped the doors!! Hopefully Cam enjoys his trophy here, since he'll apparently be filling Joe Robert's seat in Moto2 next year as Joe moves to another team. Three Yanks in the world arena next year! And the two over there now are having good results!! A podium for Gerloff again today! |

So, what's the back story of Celtic showing up with the factory Ducati support team, when Kyle Wyman has been the only Duc in the series for a couple of years now? I've not seen any explanation, but I think if I was Kyle I'd be asking WTF??? |

Elias seems to have lost a step or two. I know he became a new dad this year. Maybe, his priorities have changed. |

Hoping to see Cam Peterson get his seat. He's certainly proved his talent on the Stock 1000 GSXR this year! And if the rumors around Beaubier turn out to be true, I'd love to see JD Beach back in the series and on that factory Yamaha alongside Jake Gagne! |

Looks like I was mistaken. Elias isn't quitting MotoAmerica, just Suzuki. He's looking for a seat on a different brand... |

The guys during the broadcast made a comment I THOUGHT I heard that Tony already was lined up to do some testing on a Duc. |

King of the Baggers was an entertaining race. They mentioned 3-4 races possible next season. Would like to see someone bring a BMW K1600 into the mix. |

Was it really entertaining? As in was there passing? I looked at the times and it seemed processional. Personally, I think the first race might be interesting because it's just different, but I have no interest in seeing any kind of bagger race. |

To its own discredit, Laguna Seca that I have seen for the last 14 years is not known for great racing if you value passing. Hopefully I'll be there next year but not to watch baggers, E-Bikes, or other side show events. (Message edited by Bertman on October 27, 2020) |

I really hope Kawasaki and even Honda can throw a few bucks towards teams racing in MotoAmerica. |

Fresno, you can see the entire race on YouTube. I was a little disappointed most of the bikes replaced their floorboards with rearsets and jacked up their suspensions. I was really wondering what 3 inches of suspension travel would look like heading down the corkscrew! Oh, and Aeholton, don't forget the Honda F6B. It would be a hoot to see that thing thrown into the mix as well. |

Ashton Yates skipped Laguna, and implied it was because he hadn't received the new bike yet. He's running the sole Honda in Stock 1000, but also runs in Superbike. So Honda appears to be putting SOME skin in the game. But they did have before. It wasn't enough skin, so the team then (RoadRace Factory) backed out. Ask Cam Peterson or Bobby Fong about it! |

It really is a "Yamaha vs. Suzuki Show" right now. Considering how well Kawasaki is doing in WSBK I'm surprised more teams aren't using them. Maybe the new CBR1000RR-R might entice more teams to try Honda next year, but I saw an interview with Alvaro Bautista who rides one in WSBK and he wasn't terribly complimentary about it. Herrin is still riding the old generation BMW (what's up with THAT?) but I see Travis has the latest one in Stock 1000. Also surprised no one at all is running Aprilia. |

Disagree about the passing at Laguna. I have seen passing in literally every corner of the racetrack. Also, the fact there isn't much of a straight adds to the tendency for close racing.

What is up with Yamaha? They have one of the fastest riders to ever throw a leg over their bikes under contract to test for them, and so far they're WASTING him! There are now rumors that Jorge is talking to Aprilia regarding a test rider role. Another rumor has Dovi testing for Yamaha. Dovi is fast but Jorge was a LOT faster when they were both on M1s so what the heck is going on? |

DANG!! This is certainly going to affect the SuperSport grid in MotoAmerica!! https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/yamaha-yzf-r6 -will-be-discontinued-after-2020/ |

Not too surprising. I have never really seen the allure of a supersport class bike. I rode a friends for a while and while it was not the top of the line 600, I certainly wasn't fond of the lack of torque. |

Yamaha will be releasing a track-only version of the R6 in Europe (similar to what Honda is doing with the upgraded CBR600). No word on whether either bike will be available in the States. I prefer those middle-weight sport bikes. More skill required to keep on the boil so you really get to test and develop yourself. Fast enough to get you into trouble, but light and agile enough that you should be able to get out of it. I long ago realized I have neither the skills nor the physical ability to ride a true Superbike anywhere NEAR its full capabilities. I'd be lucky if I could get 40% or more. |

Gotta admit, that in MotoAmerica, the Supersport class provided some of the best racing this year...even given Richie's displacement advantage! |

I should clarify that I never saw a real purpose of a 600 ON THE STREET where rideability can suffer. Personally, I don't think there is any substitute for grabbing a handful of throttle on corner exit with a liter bike. That's my favorite part of riding a motorcycle hands down. Followed closely by carving the turn just prior.... Different strokes for different folks as they say. |

Even a 600cc bike has a better power to weight ratio than 99% of the cars on the road. That's all that really matters. Also, generally lower insurance rates and better gas mileage as well. |

Very true. Escalante dominated, but not QUITE on the same level as Beaubier on the Superbike. The racing was almost always close. |

There is always something very cool about being on top a 2 wheeled machine that will outrun everything short of supercars that cost 7 digits (up to 150 MPH at least). Supersport racing has generally always been as good or in many cases better than the Superbike class. I think the lighter weights and lower power give the riders extra confidence that they can put the bike just about anyhwere....plus you generally have younger riders (ie less experienced) that are willing to take more risks. All in all a recipe for bar to bar racing. |

Interesting changes for Superbike in 2021. No more Superpole... grid position for the race will be based on the combined times from the practices. Grid for Race 2 will be based on the finishing order from Race 1. No rider will be bounced back farther than 8 positions (which is to address DNF from Race 1 not getting stuck last on the grid). This will certainly reduce track time but I'm not sure why. Could it have something to do with the "Bagger Class" having five rounds this year?
