Anybody got an opinion on which works best on a Buell? (Hypercharger Air Cleaner or Forcewinder Intake kit)... Got a 2000 M2 cyclone Ben.. |

Ben, I've got a hypercharger for sale if you want to buy one. Ken |

Actually everything I read puts the Pro Race cleaner on top. Hypercharger makes some big claims. If they're to be believed that would probably put them ahead of the Forcewinder, which IMHO looks better. |

I've already got a Forcewinder on my M2...Was considering changing if it would be a noticeable improvement...or should I not attempt to fix what's not broke... Like the looks of both the Hypercharger/Pro Race. Just got another one of those aftermarket Hardons we all seem to get at one time or another.

I'd go with the ProRace then...Buell's already proved it works! |

I put the Forcewinder on my 2002 M2 because of all the others, the Forcewinder gives me the most clearance for my knees. |

All of the aircleaners will perform pretty damn close to each other. So long as they have a high flow element such as a K&N inside then you are pretty much just paying for the pretty box that holds it. In other words, its just more bling. |

My BlingWinder gives me more knee clearance than the HyperBlinger that was on the S2 when I bought it. Can't discern any performance difference through the denim dynamometer, though. r-t |

Bought my bike used with a sporty filter on it, very much in the way. put on a forcewinder and it gives me excellent clearance. as far as performance goes the hsr42 probably did more than any air cleaner could. |

98 S1WL. 11,000miles. Race header, race ignition, with 5" Supertrapp (automotive). Hypercharger (blue line) vs Buell Race Aircleaner (red line): Both had K&N filters. |

The Hypercharger is a decoration. It reminds me of the ridiculous wings kids put on their cars these days. It grates on me whenever I see a Buell with a Hypercharger on it, this isn't supposed to be what the bikes are all about. But hey, it's a free country brother - let your freak flag fly. |

...hyperchargers have been known to decrease HP at speed (read excessive) due to the airflow actually causing pressure to partially close the butterfly valve(s) up front...forcewinder or Buell Race would be my 2C worth...persoanlly run the forcewinder....was cheaper at the time by a substantial amount... |

The Hypercharger has an additional slot thats about 3 inches long & a half inch wide on the bottom side of it for air to enter. You can close those butterflies completely & it wouldnt make any difference. |

if the choice it hypercharger or forcewinder, the force wins the dyno sheet above speaks for itself |

While we're on the subject of dyno charts - same bike a few minutes later (with race air cleaner) 5" Supertrapp (Automotive, not all that many disks but I didn't count them) (blue) vs Stainless Specialties custom 'glasspack (19" over all length, 2.5" inlet/inner core, 4" body 3" outlet) (red)

One more, this time the S1 (for sale) with race aircleaner and Stainless Specialties muffler, vs 99 S3T with race kit and Nallin Stg1 heads. |

Josh, Let me get my house sold (realtor comes tomorrow for CMA) and I'll buy your S1. The look on the face of the guy riding the gixxer when I let off and it shot a BIG blue flame from under the bike (right at him, at slightly more than legal speed) still cracks me up. All I saw were eyeballs behind the visor Anyone need a geek in SE CT? I'm looking at the Norwich area probably around October, but I gotta find a J-O-B. See, Josh, I listen sometimes - cheaper to live, better roads = more miles on scoot. |

Didn't Aaron test these cleaners way back? If memory serves I believe Aaron was surprised by the performance of the Force given its unusual position in the air flow. It worked very well, unlike the Hypercharger. The Pro Race is hard to beat. I've gone off the looks of it anyway so I bought a Force to replace it. Ham cans are old hat. Rocket |

I may even deliver it if the weather is nice (straight roads = look for excuses to travel) |
