I have jet problems with my S2 for long time. Today I pulled needle jet holder. Stock S2 ever came out with this? Mine is very early model(one of the earliest 100)? If not, can anyone identify?

The old part number for the S2 needle jet holder is 27101-88. That’s all I got.

The needle jet holder (emulsion tube) shown in the photo is not a stock component. The original stock emulsion tube has a “hex head” for removal - not a slotted head. It appears to be a Dynojet component or similar aftermarket jet kit item.

Agree. Also, IIRC (from when I had stock emulsion tubes in stuff...) the stock tube only has a couple of the holes/passages down the tube, not the whole row of them that the aftermarket piece has.

What sort of problems do you have? What is your engine setup, and what jets are you running?

In the above picture needle jet and needle jet holder seem a one piece. At least I cannot separate it.
Anyway I will go get HD parts and see if 45 slow/190 main jets work for me. Thanks.

Ratbuell, 40 slow, 205 main. Idle seems still rich.
Thunderstorm setup with S2 stock muffler.
I tend to believe needle jet holder is part of the problem.

Stock exhaust, I run 45/190. Race or aftermarket exhaust, 48/195. Either one, I run the idle mix screw all the way in till it lightly (!) bottoms out, then 2.5 turns out. Stock carbs, Thunderslide kit (lighter shutter, different spring). That's in my personal S2, original heavy-wheel bottom end, thunderstorm top end, and X1 cams.

Looks like a Yost power tube. Id get a deluxe CVP kit and be done with it. 45/190, 2.5 turns on the airscrew.

William, thanks for info, it looks like a Yost power atomizer kit.
I will go back to stock setup and see what 45/190 gives. Thanks everyone.
