Eisenstein's "Battleship Potemkin" is the classic Soviet propaganda film. Film classes show it for the framing, cinematography, editing. It's darn good. It's also factually challenged. Aka it's nearly all lies. Darn effective, though. I think "Alexander Nevsky" is a much better movie, and while it's "based on a real battle" it's really nearly pure fantasy. Like King Arthur films. Leni Riefenstahl's "Triumph of the Will" is another classic. Cinematic arts genius, bent to promote the Nazis. A visual treat, but if you know history, chilling. "Hero" is better, both as film, and propaganda. It's pure fantasy, so there's no obvious lies like Battleship Potemkin. The message even makes sense. It's in context, compelling, and a visual treat. Not subtle, but because it's a tale of ancient heroes, not obviously China Communist Party propaganda. ( The CCP regular stuff is heavy handed and blatant ) Much like a science fiction or fantasy setting lets you comment on politics in a fantasy world, ( oh, no, I'm not criticizing the government! This is a horrible dystopia in an imaginary future Mars colony! ) or the Lord of the Rings anti-war message disguised with Elves and Hobbits, Hero is disconnected from current events... But is really the Party Line. | ||

Oh, and if Joe Biden is elected president? “Black Lives Matter” will disappear from the headlines. The only purpose of calling national attention to the deaths of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, Jacob Blake, etc., was to “energize” black voters for Democrats in an election year, to dramatize the “systemic racism” issue to help Joe Biden. And once he takes office, everything will go back to business as usual for the media. I doubt that last. Putting that genie back in the bottle won't be silent. Certainly If They Rule they'll want to tell the Useful Idiots ( reg. Trade Mark ) to shut up and disappear. But the Thugs aren't paid by Joe. It's not up to him. Hydra is bigger than the Party.
