My 96 S2 has an original white frame. Does that mean it was assembled with a leftover 95 frame? |

Well, I'm not sure about yours. My '96 is a dark gray frame, so with that and seeing '95's with white frames...well you know what assume means when it's broken down.

All S2's had white frames and unpainted side plates, all S2T's had grey frames and grey side plates |

That looks like barn apartment.since it's Montana, good bet.the bikes pre thunderstorm head as with no details,no plate, either the seller wasn't the rider and doesn't know jack about it,another good bet or the rider had plans to get into it by takin the time to cover the floor but then found something that said time to sell I'd be real leery of it as since its a repaint or mislabeled, get it cheap as possible. if you have to ship it stay away from haul bikes.com. had a recent terrible experience. even with regional drivers and 5 warehouses they don't have their shit together at all. |

That poor bike is a MESS!! It’s obviously lived outside for part of its hard life. Every single nut, bolt, screw appears to be rusted, every where that water can sit is rusted, fiberglass and other pieces are crazed and dull.. I once saved a moto guzzi that lived a life like that... it was a terrible process, rust and decay everywhere! I have a soft spot for the S2 bikes... obviously(?), but personally that’s one I couldn’t see saving..., unfortunate as it is... If someone here is going to try, I have A LOT of stuff for an S2!! |

Some 1995 S2 models had white frames. The S2T had gray frames, but during that period, “rules” sometimes varied. I had a 1996 S2 white body with a white frame that I bought from the second owner, but I knew the original owner and remember when he first bought it. |

Neither is technically wrong. https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/gray -vs-grey-usage-difference For $1500 I'd gladly stand that thing in the corner of my livingroom. |

If it was a couple hundred miles away it would already be in my trailer on the way to my house. This bike, at this price, will likely end up as a donor for a chopper project..... |

Hope someone here can save it... I hate seeing these fade away or turn into chopper bait! Someone sure neglected it.. but hope someone here can give it what it deserves! |

If somebody here wants it but doesn't have the skills to go through it, I can offer my services as a four-decade HD mechanic and Machinist and could deliver the bike when finished pretty much anywhere in the southeast centered out of Atlanta |

It needs saved Everything is there but the time and the talent. It’s likely one of the most amazing motor RS thanks to the generosity of folks like Ron Dickey and Aaron blueprinting it. Just needs some TLC. I’m not beyond putting it in a box and sending it to you. |
