I've been looking all over for the factory spec on height above the triple. Anyone know what it's supposed to be? |

On my SX they were just under the bars. |

Sorry, to be more specific... The fork uppers cleared the bottom of my handle bars by 2mm. Heres a visual reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5y_1Bj8Q0oM You will never know a couple mm difference from OEM as long as they are equal, no need to break out the dial calipers |

Shoggin Yeah, I have the Maintenance manual and watched the video already. Love the line 'using a reference or scale...' without taking 1.5 seconds more to say 'to set at xx mm'. And you're right, I'll likely not notice a heck of a lot of difference, but want to start with factory settings since I'm pretty sure a lot of testing went into that already. The front end feel is radically different than the RX. Unfortunately, they are not in the same garage at the moment to reference. |

I noticed that too! Like "thanks guys for making the EBR specific video with no EBR specifics..." I called EBR because I was finding different torque specs for the rotor and got the answer "we don't publish specs in case they change?" Ok. Then I asked why the forks don't have cir-clips to set the height they said "So you can adjust them". So when I converted my SX to RX for track days I have now spent a year fine tuning the front height and it's probably exactly OE. Haha. |

Well, with lack of anything better, I'll head to where I have my RX and measure it today. I know it hasn't changed from the dealer so I'd guess it's set to spec. Or at least set to where I'm used to/like it. |

I would think they'd be the same between the RX/SX. It's pretty Buell-like to interchange parts like that. Your perceived difference of front end feel could be anything from fork settings, tires, or even grip position. I agree that when I finished the RX conversion it is much harder to turn-in hard. Weird, you'd think it would be the opposite. It really does respond well to body position. Staying square on the bike makes it difficult to push in, where a proper half-cheek and shoulder past the mirror makes it lean and swap sides drastically better. YMMV, but I'd be curious to know your thoughts. |

Well, if there's any interest in the question (and to document it for future self ) The RX measured out at 15.5mm and the SX at 16.3mm I'd expected them to be the same and that's close enough to be operator error on the mic. I have changed the throttle cables to the Motion Pro setup and added heated grips so now both rider interfaces are exactly the same. Front tire was low on pressure (28 psi) when I checked it last night but has sat for a couple weeks. AND they are the stock 2014 vintage Corsas - which I have never liked. They'll get changed to something else come spring. Winter is on the horizon here. Sunday morning we'll see what the changes have done. |
