Dammit. *Almost* scored some 9mm. Found some Wolf (steel case - not ideal but should be fine to run in my XD-s at home), 1,000 rd case, $0.26/rd. Found it online. Customer walked in. Took care of customer. Went back to online store...out of stock. DAMMIT. |

i'm finding that there is a lag from when something gets posted on ammoseek that is a low price until it gets tagged as an error (out of stock). i don't think they sell out that quick on the cheaper stuff... i think it's an error in the search engine picking up out of stock items. i've tried buying stuff quickly and usually can't even finish the transaction. |

I went to ammoseek. clicked the link to the vendor. It showed in stock, add to cart. Customer. By the time I got back to complete, it was out of stock and unable to ship (and showing so back on the vendor's main page - "not available for sale, alert when in" had replaced "add to cart"). |

Seesh! 9mm is expensive right now, I had no idea. I bought two bags of bulk ammo for less than 75¢ a round less than a year ago. Before that I bought more for less. Glad I still have lots. Try here https://www.luckygunner.com/9mm-124-grain-p-jhp-sp eer-le-gold-dot-duty-50-rounds |

I try to share positive experiences as well as negative. In the latest issue of American Rifleman, there was mention of a simple device that solved a problem for those of us that have and enjoy a Walther P-22: a recoil spring that was needlessly long and unwieldy. Tandemkross is a small company in New Hampshire that makes small accessories for our firearms: Walther, Ruger, and a few others. I ordered the device, and when it arrived, I pulled out the P-22 and stripped it down. The device was obviously too small to fit my gun. I looked at the paperwork, and it referred to the S&W version of the same gun. I fired off an email to them to figure out why. The owner called me the next morning, explained that the Walther part was not obvious on their website, and they would immediately send the correct part and a call tag to send the other one back. Three days later, I had the part and it worked perfectly. I then went back to the website, and noticed a device that assists loading of my uncomfortable Ruger Mk.II magazines, made by McFadden Machine Co.. $20,.. Hey I'll give it a try. What a cool device! Check it out, and take a look at Tandemkross. (Message edited by Chauly on September 11, 2020) |

I used to get bulk around $0.17/rd. Lately I've been thrilled to find $0.24/rd. But these days...I can't find a damned thing in stock. I'm down under 1k practice rounds, and I don't like that. About 2 months ago they had an end cap full of Winchester 9mm at the local Richard's. I had cash for 3 boxes. $0.24/rd. I shoulda bought the whole damned end cap. |

http://www.gunbot.net/ammo/pistol/9mm/ Try this site. FYI - I haven't used that site in a while and a lot of the links appear to be broken. It was like a gold mine when I was looking for ammo when Obama was causing shortages. (Message edited by Macbuell on September 11, 2020) |

Yeah, I tried a few (they were still showing .19/rd for some!!) and they all give a "product not found" on that J&P or J&S or whatever site. Going just on the J&Whatever site, all their stuff starts around 1.00/rd now. Ugh. I need to PRACTICE..... |

Dammit. Ammoseek showed PSA having that (Blazer aluminum). Went to PSA, clicked "add to cart"...website refused to add anything. 1 box, 10 boxes, no matter, wouldn't add. Grrrr. |

Wow the prices are all over the place I can typically build 45 acp for about 0.23$ for practice ( in my cases ) I can build 9 mm 125 g plated practice rounds for about 0.15$ That does not account for shipping or gas to pick up supplies. ( powder and primers ship hazmat )(about 20$ extra on freight ) Midway lists 9mm practic lists for about 0.35 $ midway lists 45 acp fmj practice ammo for about 0.35$ a round the cheapest .45 was tul ammo ( steel case ) 0.24$ rd with the dillon I can build about 100 in 8-10 minutes after checking the powder drop. the cases add about .12$ or more, but its worth it to pick them up. I have paid for the equipment in the savings on ammo. |

Well, if anyone wants to make me some 9mm practice ammo let me know. I can send about a half a coffee can full of brass...and I'm happy to dig around for reload supplies locally as well. I just haven't got time to mess with it myself, unfortunately, or I'd learn myself a new skill. |

I've got plenty. Everything I see for sale right now is shit quality for super high prices. I could clean up right now if I was of a mind to sell what I have. I prefer the barter system. I'll trade one bullet for everything you have. Done deal. |

Snicker. I luv the "buy gold ( at the highest price in history ) for your retirement portfolio / apocalyptic trade goods." ads on radio and internet. As to the wisdom of buying gold when selling it is profitable enough to pay for commercials, I'm doubtful. But I find it hilarious to think of trading a rare gold coin for a can of soup. "It's worth $14,000..." only applies in times of peace & prosperity when the markets are happily running. And in a Mad Max post apocalyptic world, the industrial value is moot. Only the decorative jewelry qualities matter, and that only in some enclave with markets and craftsman. But ammo? Solid trade goods. Bic lighters, feminine hygiene products, alcohol... Stuff that has "limit 1" signs on still sparse shelves at the supermarket. Which means today, in the Crisis Days, is a lousy time to buy ammo. Bummer, but true. Otoh, it's probably a good time to buy expensive motorized toys like jet skis, airplanes, motorcycles, and sports cars. So a gyroplane or off road truck ( with optional spikes and ram bars ) might be your best Mad Max purchase, today. |

Wisper: Typically it is ball, target, or "white box". What I call practice ammo has a "Plated" ball type bullet, or a plastic coated lead bullet, 230 grain round nose. Berry's plated offers many styles, For use in my 1911, I build them for 830 to 850 fps over my chronograph. ( 830 is GI spec ) the load is about 5.3 grains of #1 commercial shotgun powder ( hogden universal or WW231 can be used with similar loadings ) and a cci 300 primer If you decide to try this work it up to that level YMMV (Message edited by oldog on September 14, 2020) |

Joe Biden and his Democratic Party are trying to ensure the bad guys can outgun you, and the police can’t respond as effectively as they do now. Pretty much sums up the Left's lust for power. Power at ANY cost. |

WOO-HOO! I managed to score off ammoseek. I think. It said "order accepted" and gave me an order number, and all the shipping info is entered. 1k rounds Wolf 9mm FMJ, steel case (good for home practice, but can't take to my local range). .38/rd - not great, but not hateful considering things today... |
