" If you assume that everything these curators say below is true, then you can explain a great deal of the chronic problems within black America. What kind of neighborhood would you expect to have if most of the people in it devalued hard work, rejected the idea that they needed to be on time, refused to defer gratification, did not respect authority, sought out conflict, laughed at politeness, rejected the traditional family model, and so forth? You’d have communities that were beset by crime and generational poverty, without the cultural tools to overcome the chaos. There are plenty of white people in this country who live by similar rules — and they’re chronically poor too."
If you showed me a picture of a room full of guys in white hoods, and told me that was the Museum committee, I'd believe you.
The poster is, mostly correct.
There are some errors, for example, thin is in only recently.
Bland food is no longer the norm, thanks to Cajun, Creole, Mexican, Italian, Asian and African immigrants bringing their distinctive cuisine, which is accepted as part of the melting pot concept. True, in the ancient days up to the 1950's bland food was normal outside the Gulf, east & west coasts, but that was also the days when many people didn't travel more than 100 miles from their homes their whole lives.
Immigrants also have loosened the monopoly on monotheist faiths. Intolerance was the norm in my youth. ( of course in the Midwest where I grew up, it was those radical Catholics being distrusted by the Conservative Lutherans, which is ironic as can be if you know the history of the 2 faiths )
But the rest, while a bit critical, is pretty fair. And it's not like each generation wasn't considered more... libertine... in the eyes of the old farts. And each generation considered the previous one uptight and rigid.
So, basically, the poster is a "How To Succeed In Life" advertisement, and with a few corrections to the errors would be a decent reference source for any American school. I could see it on the walls in every class from, say 5th grade through Senior High.
The systemic and incredibly evil racism that states the bulk of that poster impossible and undesirable for Black Americans deserves eradication by public exposure.
So...if you want to commit crime, and not get arrested...go to NYC, and fight back when they try to arrest you. deBlasio just signed multiple bills that prohibit officers from 'subduing' offenders who fight back. No chokeholds, and no "diaphragm" attacks (no knee in the back to hold an offender down).
“You’re going to see a rise in the use of non-lethal devices such as Tasers, nightsticks, pepper spray. They’re just going to incapacitate people before they place handcuffs,” Giacalone said.
Good.
But I'm sure we'll see a responding increase in wailing and moaning and gnashing of teeth about THAT as well. "It's not 'humane'...you can't do that to blacks...it's racism...slavery..." Nevermind they aren't doing it to 'blacks', they're doing it to CRIMINALS.
Rule number one on how not to get your ass kicked by the Police? Don't commit a crime! Even Chris Rock knows that, and put it in a video...
There are pundits who are predicting a refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election for Prez this fall by the Party.
Their best evidence is the Projection Lies that Trump will refuse to accept the results, which in psycho-babble is the SOP of accusing the Enemy of committing the crimes you yourself commit. Also, they don't even have to write the story, they wrote it back in '16. Cut, paste, paycheck. ( it's not plagiarism, it's recycling )
The other main reason to think there will be rejection of the vote is several lefties outright say so.
Some politicians and pundits threatening treason and criminal election fraud is, today, not grounds for arrest. They just say they're joking. But you should remember who says what, even take notes, for when it actually happens.
Other pundits predict the Antifa/Klan Party won't wait until November. They'll turn up the riots, looting, and murders before the election and... ?? That's where I lose interest. They don't give an end game that puts the Dems in power without assassination or an actual impeachment trial and conviction. And I don't see Impeachment, legally done, as probable.
I do buy the idea that there will be riots if the Bad Orange Man is re-elected. Wouldn't bet my bike, but $10, sure. Twice that, even.
Riots all summer? Maybe. The Conventions are coming soon and you'd be a fool to bet against organized city in flames tactics.
Meanwhile, the Disruption ( their words ) in Rochester closing the freeway through the city today is getting rained on.
Maybe that'll improve the general hygiene for the crew involved.
Nevermind the fact that this country is based on the ideal that ANYone - regardless of race, color, or creed - can succeed in America. All they have to do is apply themselves, and work hard.
But I guess that goes against the grain of the welfare culture, who wants everything handed to them...how dare we be founded on the idea of meritocracy, as opposed to the current fad-trend of quotas?
The hard left will descend on the dem convention, because they’re not left enough or sufficiently woke, and there will be no one to confront the mob. Reap it, dems.
Re: the planned riots and murders @ the Democrat ( Marxist ) Convention.
By banning "less lethal" weapons use by the police to stop assaults and attempted murder, the various Democrat organizations, city council and police oversight, appear to be guaranteeing that police will be forced to shoot thugs, or die themselves.
It's obvious, since no D Congresscritters have condemned the murders and assaults by their action arms, Antifa & Blatant Marxist Lies, ( a money laundering arm of the Party as well as a handy source of useful idiots ) they want dead rioters ( Martyrs ) to advance their agenda of perpetual Emergency Power.
If I lived anywhere near the upcoming Reichstag Fire Convention, I'd plan on vacation out of town & take any irreplaceable items & computer backups to be safely stored out of the Zone. Any important records, birth certificates, marriage and service forms ( DD-214 ) I highly recommend you put in a safe deposit box in a suburban bank away from any city. ( not in a bugout bag in the trunk of a car that may be stolen or burned )
That's imho good advice even if you're not in the path of the planned arson and disruption. Although with the Coronapanic Governor's Whims in NY I haven't been able to enter my bank in person, like normal. But they will let me access my safe deposit box by appointment.
Because of legal restrictions and common sense, I highly recommend not loading your car up with guns and risking theft and loss from traffic stops gone wrong. Hopefully you have a good friend out of town who will store a small amount of valuables. ( like that collection of... )
I fully understand this sounds paranoid. But I remember 1968 and the DNC riots. Then, useful idiots threw baggies of human feces at police to provoke a beating on tv. ( what fun! ) This year might be serious blood on the streets time.
After all, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs, by any means necessary.
It might have been Hannity, but I heard on the radio that it was ironic that Barry, during his speech at the John Lewis service, was saying that vote-by-mail was so voters wouldn't "get sick." That makes being in a church for a Prog-approved funeral give a magic shield for the virus that standing in line to vote absolutely doesn't. Sort of like how rioting wards off the virus.
