From Greg_e Fuel pump is a Walbro 521 which crosses to Autozone E2061 and the high pressure filter is Autozone FF3330DL which hangs on the wall, couldn't find the strainer out of the stuff they stocked. This is Mustang 85-86 V6 pump made by Airtex and is working very well in my 03 XB9R. Other cross references for the fuel pump that I found online: AC/Delco EP274 Delphi 25337782 Delphi FE0052 Ford E5ZZ-9A407-A GM 25116975 Hella H75010041 |

I found my pressurized line had been in contact with the tank and worn a pinhole in it. The hoses only come with the regulator mount, if still available at all. This will do 2 pumps and works great: http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/BMW-Hose-for-In-Tank-Submersion-16-13-1-455-350-p/fp-hosekit.htm

Fuel pump rebuild kits (nicely sorted so you don't have to source a bunch of stuff from different places) http://motoenthusiasts.bigcartel.com/product/fuel- pump-kits |

Looks like the injected tubers have same pump. My 99 s3t has pump with same numbers on it. Any one have experience with s3t? Are all other sensers same as xb? |

Is there a replacement for the fuel pump pressure regulator? I have an 04 XB12R that is difficult to start. I suspect it may be the fuel pump or related. In previous posts members here have recommended replacement pumps and even the hose from BMW. Is all this current? What about the regulator? If I take this out I would like to replace everything. Also is there a repair part for the low fuel indicator in the tank? |

Additional information on starting difficulty, I bought the bike with 3500 miles on it. It now has 7500 miles. For a while it started almost instantly. I did run out of gas one time when the low fuel light quit working. Eventually it got to where it started only on the third attempt of 5 seconds of cranking. It runs well once it starts. It is now taking many more 5 second attempts. I did change spark plugs, even though the ones I took out looked to be in great condition. The spark plug change didn't effect starting either way. It's a stock bike except for a K&N filter and a Jardine muffler which were on it when I bought it. I don't know if it was tuned to those modifications. The only other issues were a relay that kept it from starting which I replaced, and for a couple tanks of fuel it had an intermittent miss, which I attributed to bad gas. I did run some sea foam through it and it cleared up. If not fuel pump related what else is the likely cause? Again it is an 04 Firebolt. Thanks |
