Ding ding ding! Good one! There are more, but I hadn't seen Pope Urban's. Similar to mine! Multiple registering bodies out there, too. Which means if you are inventing your own you need to do multiple searches & pick the organization that covers your nationality or heritage. Lions and Eagles and hawks are most common. I'd like to discuss the mail in voting issue, but other than that, Applause, and agreement. I hadn't really analyzed the implications of ratings driving editorial choices. I've mentioned it, as the drive for the ratings-good short sound bite-Trump-The Only Thing that gets ratings-everyone else is boring with "policy" and "patriotism"- gave us Trump 24/7 in 2016. I've long thought it ironic that CNN/NBC/DISNEY/Etc. got Trump the nomination in large part by accident. Not completely. The other obvious motivations for promoting Trump, that he had no chance, and maybe to wreck the Republican Party with an outsider, I thought were real, but secondary to the ratings greed. I'd brag that I was right, but feel like an idiot for not bothering to take it the next step and realize Everything is ratings driven. huh. Ariana's other comment, that she fears it's going to Be Trump & nothing else, again, is probably an accurate prediction. The Party wants to Hide Joe from the Public, and the Media will cheerfully play carefully edited campaign bites sent them for free by the Campaign, and save the money on actual reporting. Scripted Zoom calls will be assigned to up & coming talent to teach them how to keep a straight face when someone talks nonsense to them, earnestly. My big ray of optimism here is that a months long climax to the Hate Fest coverage of All That Is Trump, will probably abandon all semblance of sanity and even more people will either "catch on" to how bad the Media has become, and/or be so disgusted they vote to spite the deluge. | ||
