( remember they kept the dead Arafat on a ventilator in Paris while they negotiated the transfer of stolen Billion$ from his wife to the new dictatorship. ) Ultimately, religion, lies about history, and deliberate hate training propaganda are really just tools to keep the money flowing into the hands of Abbas & Hammas. I never watch sports. I'm the type who, if sports are involved, would rather be PLAYING them (however pathetically), than sitting on my ass eating food and drinking beer. I can find ENOUGH excuses to sit and drink beer - I don't need to support elitist "athletes" and their billion-dollar salaries and their kneeling bullshit I-hate-America-even-though-it-enables-me-to-make-m illions-playing-freakin'-GAMES entitlement attitudes. ( about scenes in the movie ) And I rather enjoyed Captain Marvel, while freely admitting it's imperfect, but what isnt? The dire prediction that entertainment in the near future will be humorless and intolerant is, unfortunately, probably accurate. One opinion piece I've read on Captain Marvel from a writer I enjoy, complained that for drama purposes, Danvers, "Ver", ( the title character ) should have been more visibly angry at being kidnapped, lied to, etc. when she learned who she is. After all, a major plot point is that it's her humanity and emotions that gives her the edge over her Kree captors. And it's a legitimate complaint from a writer's view. He sees where the story fell flat, disappointing, but that very failing is, IMHO, the symptom, the result, of Woke Idiocy. I believe the Studio was terrified that they'd catch hell for having a "stereotypical emotional woman" story, so had Brie play her very muted. Never mind that a male character wouldn't be under Woke Pressure to escape stereotypes. The studios respond, poorly, sure, to the culture they sell to. And while the muted emotional state of the main character might be stupid from a dramatic view, the actress did a pretty decent job with what she had to work with. | ||
