Don't forget to use you National HOG or BRAG card when closing the deal. Sometimes you will get a discount with either. In the case of the BRAG card you can embarrass them into giving you the HOG discount since they sell Buells but don't have a BRAG club. Worked for me last year, but I had an extra gotcha...My X1 was originally purchased from MKE HD. LOL Now that I have the National HOG card, I don't have any problem.

Am still wondering why National HOG covers both my HD and Buell under the roadside assistance program and National BRAG couldn't answer the question if both were covered under their program. Seems like a lack of internal communications as both use the same firm for the program. Oh well, perhaps they worked it out since my inquiries earlier this year. LOL

BRAG expired, HOG way expired.
Perhaps we should trade screen names, eh?

Hal's required you to be a member of the local chapter to get the perks. Last word I got is that the program is being adjusted again this year.
Suburban just requires you to be a customer and in their computer to get a discount. Kind of a nice touch.
I should probably renew something, but the last time I called to do so I was not offered the option to get HOGified. It really does depend on who answers the phone there as to what type of response you get. Last year the lady I spoke with was open and honest and helpfull and even offered me the BRAG card with the Mrs. an option on a HOG card and Ladies of Harley membership. This year I got Mr.Jerk on the phone, hence the non-renewal.

Oh well, VP in the building today, and free coffee since Mr.Coffee got a talking to and is discontinuing his 10cent/cup coffee fund program for us. So I think I'll fill my cup and lay low until 11.

Let's see, Milw-HD/B, they haven't moved from their hidden location, have they? ; )

Nope, still hidden behind the T&A Bar northeast of the worst on/off ramp in the entire metro area. LOL

Funny thing is MKE HD sponsors BACA (Biker's Against Child Abuse). BACA has an annual outing for the kids at MKE HD but had to find a new location for it this year due to the T&A Bar opening around 11:00 AM. They tried to get the owner to open at 6:00 PM the day of the event but the owner wouldn't budge. Will be interesting how that effects business as a good percentage of their clientele are Bikers. Conflict of interest, eh?

Nah, SOP, sort of like the DryRiders division of the KettleMoraine chapter of HOG.

Hmmm, wonder if they have any hardtail conversion frames for the M2, would be one way to solve the exhaust issue I have.

Hmmm, based on your report perhaps I shouldn't use the peeper icon there, hmmmm

Mike...Thanks for letting me tag along to and from Uke's today. I like to follow folks like you that lead at a good pace and keep me from accumulating those "Fast Rider Awards" the Traffic Nazi's love to pass out.

You should have been with me running up 45. Single file only. Was walking the line all the way and made some great time. Wished I would have had the nerve to lane split in the few traffic jams I encountered, but with my luck there would have been a sheriff at the other end just waiting for me. LOL

Thanks again!

Dyna...Like the new UserName!!!

Yeah, we left somewhere around 2:30 PM. Waited as long as we could for you but Mike had places to go and things to do.

If you were riding south on I-94 to Uke's I saw you. If that wasn't you, it was just another of the million or so Blue R1's in the area. LOL

Had a good time at Uke's and am going back today for their 20% off sale. You know, the usual clothing and bling bling junkie that loves to stretch a buck.

Di and I did the RiverSplash Festival last night on Water Street and had a really great time. Is on again tonight and perhaps Sunday. Even saw a bunch of Buell's down there but all had WI plates so they must have been locals. Wonder if they knew about the homecoming? LOL

Dang, I am pleased the weather has finally changed for the better. I was really suffering from rain depression.

Catch ya later!

If you walked past the Water Street Brewery you saw my bike Friday night at Riversplash. I wanted to go to Uke's, but just had to much to do around the house. I got into a battle of pipes with a Honda VTX last night. It was pretty funny, I couldn't crack my throttle wide open or I would have been riding on one wheel about 100 ft past the slow Honda. Also the wife wasn't all that happy at the prospect of my riding on one wheel. (I've been practicing a little, but don't tell her).

Spent most of our time at Brew City watching the Reggae group. Had a table along the fence which also provided for some great people watching. LOL

After that we walked down Water Street to catch the act at the north stage. Then headed out to the 'burbs before closing as I was told closing time is when the fights break out. LOL

Just learned last night that there was a third stage across the river. Guess that is where most of the bikers were as considering all the bikes, there wasn't much leather on Water Street.

Just a word of advice from a guy with some experience in the matter. If the budget allows, get the Road King you have been wanting and keep the Buell. Use the RK for the two up ventures and make the Buell your personal mental health toy. I have tried other two bike combinations in the past and for some reason a cruiser and sport bike works best. Just don't forget to take her out on your Buell once in a while to reinforce how much she prefers the cruiser. Get my drift?

Maybe all the leather was down at the summerfest grounds for Gay Pride Fest?

Ewww...was that this weekend? Sure am glad I didn't ride the Lakefront. Would have been a waste of time cause I left my gun at home. Just kidding.

Oh well, no big deal. There are enough Christian Fundamentalists praying to get them all condemned to Hell anyway. LMAO

Yep this weekend. My daughter lives in Greenfield & she wanted to take the grandson down to the Riversplash deal or whatever its called. Anyways she gets lost pretty easily & ended up at summerfest grounds thinking that was the place.

She said they actually had a pretty good time but didnt even know it was a gay thing until they had been there about 1/2 hr: D

I know what you mean. Sometimes you are clueless until you ask someone of the opposite sex to dance. That has resulted in more jealous lovers beating on Straight Folks than all the reports of Gay Bashing. LOL

When they had the first Milwaukee rally it was at Veterans park right next to gay people fest. Riversplash is a great time every year. You should have crossed the river, there were at least four other stages. We were at a small park stage watching Pat McCurdy.

While attempting to leave Friday night I kept inching out trying to cross the street full of people. I saw an opening, went for it, and almost went front tire to front tire with a cop on a bicycle. He was as shocked as I was.... I let him continue ahead of me... : )

Bill,
I had the speedlimit on the speedo at all times, not necessarily what the needle was pointing at though. Pretty sure I saw the DynaSquid on his way southbound as well, and he didn't even wave at us. ; ) (not that I noticed anyway since we'd just moved into the inner/left lane).

Dyna,
Did you take a few laps on the course at Uke's????? I'm starting to think a little harder about an FJR, or an old ULH flathead, or something else, haven't made up my mind yet. : )

Koz,
Are you drag racing bicycles? But speaking of police bikes, have you thought of offering engraving services to the police parade bikes, or the Shriners? Should be lots of potential business with them.

Mike, nope no laps for me. And it wasnt me you saw. I came from the south..165 & got off on 158 for Ukes. Besides all you would have seen was a warp speed blur & felt a rush of air go by you: D

Oh Poop...I missed Pat McCurdy. Oh well, at least he is Mr. Festival and I can catch his act almost every weekend during the summer.

I need to pay more attention to the festival schedules and details. I love this place in summer. Never a dull weekend.

Surprised you didn't blow past the offramp and whizz right past us then. ; ) We were only 15 minutes ahead of you, should have caught us by 7-mileFair. : )

Where's this garage place you folks are talking about? Is it the garage place where Water Street turns east and becomes Brady St., or elsewhere?

Mike...It is at the east end of Brady Street about a block inland from Farwell. The Bar on the corner is called the Hi Hat and attached to it with a walk through is The Garage. Same ownership, plus they also own the Fuel Cafe on Center Street. Look them up on your Milwaukee Entertainment search engine.

You should have no problem finding it with all the bikes. There is street parking as well as a small lot across the street just north of Brady Street.

As I indicated you won't find any Harley's there but I was joking about the Buell's.
