Last night on the local Fox channel, they had the video of Obama knocking Trump in his graduation speeches. On the other half of the screen, they had video of Trump with Putin! Such pathetic clinging to the Russia Hoax! They must have lost their stock footage of Trump meeting with Black groups in the Oval Office. | ||

I think the last vestiges of the Confederacy need to be expunged from our political lives. But they should keep the memorial namings as warning of the bad man can do. Like statues of Jefferson Davis. You want a plaque explaining how he created a terrorist arm of his Party after losing the Civil War? Fine. His Party may need to be demolished and it's wealth used to pay the debt. Leave the statue & plaques so future generations can see the truth. | ||

Crusty, regarding your post: My Dad was stationed at Fort Lee, near Petersburg, VA in 1963 and the Army kids went to the local schools (33% of the school pop.), with gov't payments to account for not paying property tax. The schools were segregated, but the base commander announced that all of his soldiers' kids would go where they wanted or none would and he would create a base school system. I fully support his right to comment and protest. I also support the right of his employer to fire him for breaking company rules. I know if I had publicly embarrassed my employer, the Union would have both fought for me, and told me to clean up my act. And Kastro made more money in a season than I ever have, he was well paid. But it's absolutely clear that he's a Diva and there are few companies that will hire such unless the skills and positive expectations exceed the downsides. It's the content of their character. If you don't recognize that statement, you're an ignorant fraud. The police looked hard at the lockdown protesters. What they saw was Citizens that respect the law, like police, and probably brought cookies. I'd bet you a dollar the grounds were cleaner when the protesters peacefully left. But on the streets, the police didn't see Black Men. They saw rabid thugs, organized violence, looting, arson, assault, and hate. Plenty of white skin showing above the masks and stolen property. But Joy might be so racist that it never occurred to her that anyone but a Black Man would loot, burn & beat defenseless women. | ||
