Hey Guys Longtime member but haven't been on here in a long time . I bought a brand new 2004 firebolt after 1st divorce now fast forward to 2nd divorce. This divorce im a lot more poor. lol so Im looking at 2009 1125R with 16k miles on it for $4500. What are parts availability? Just to let you this is a short no real thought out impulse buy. lol Im going to look at this afternoon. If i remember the members on here were awesome so i look forward to hearing from you. Thanks |

check for upgrades on the bike - for the infamous clutch weep - stator/ rotor/ Voltage regulator upgrade?. post pics! |

also, if you are worried about parts, look at the St. Paul Harley Davidson website... they have become one of the go to places for Buell parts. |

also, as for service, you can call any HD dealer near you and ask if they still have Buell techs to service your bike if needed. |

H-D dealers in my area, San Jose, CA, will work on 1125s. As long as it's not the motor. |

I don't know who out your way works on Buells, but I've had no problem with that in the north east. Parts in general are still readily available, some stuff obsoleted so it depends on what exactly you are looking for. Maintenance/wear parts/common issue parts are still easy to get. |

One that really worries me is the starter sprag clutch is no longer available. Love the bike but am starting to get nervous. |

Thanks to everyone for the replies but decided not to get it. It looked pretty good but did have the clutch weep problem, I bit the bullet decided on a a 2011 BMW S1000RR. Pick it up Friday. Thanks again fellas. Chuck |
