Ah! But what if that's what they want you to do? Remember, traditional terrorism strategy, ( Not jihad, but domestic European ) is to make the government over react to terror attacks, so that the people fear the government more than the terrorist's group. Thus gaining converts. Another thing to remember about Revolutions, is that even if the cause is just, and the leader compassionate and wise, the moment or at most months, after victory is achieved, the evil minions kill the good guys. Like every generation, we imagine this is new, but if you consider the number of newspapers with names like the Democrat and Chronicle, or the Arizona Republic, you can see, it's not. It's not even unheard of for a News company to promote a nice little war to sell papers. Not that the end of the Spanish Empire was thought nice, or little, by the participants and victims. I can't even say that News companies haven't ignored an ongoing pandemic before. Just a decade ago, right? But I can't recall such open contempt for their own customers. Utter lack of honesty, and worse, from their perspective, open declarations of what their lie will be going forward. When they outright say on TV they are going to blame the Chinese Coronavirus on Trump, how can they claim any credibility? It may be your patriotic duty to point out the lies of the Media, but I don't want to break up families. Just because cousin Beth is convinced pink crystals will improve her love life, or Lizzy Warren would be a great President, is not enough reason to cause her to never speak to you again, and create a horrible rift in family relationships. Imho. Ymmv. After all, as motorcycle riders, we are usually considered crazy by our parents/families/coworkers, too. Tolerance is often a virtue. Otoh, if you really never want to see Aunt Gertrude again.....  | ||

As noted in the comments on that article, this could literally be the case where "if Trump cured cancer, people would bitch about doctors going out of work". Forget round II of stimulus checks. Send every citizen (key word there!) an envelope, with a voucher for CVS, for one month's worth of HCQ and Z-packs. Not only is it showing promise as a treatment, but also as a prophylactic (to prevent catching it in the first place). Possible side effects? Bah. I'll take a possible side effect of hair loss from the drug, over a possible side effect of DEATH from the disease. Sign me up. | ||
