A radio pundit has a catchphrase, "Liberalism is a mental disorder" . I disagree, in the label area, as a classic Liberal ( Western Liberal Civilization, Cold War, libertarian ( or libertine  ) version Patriotic nerd ) The term Liberalism is inaccurate. A label stolen by the Authoritarian Left. But substituting Democrat for Liberal isn't accurate, either. Rank & file Ds are not crazy, nor Rs, it's, IM not so HO the "leftists" or the various Marx cultists ( which is as splintered as other religions ) Yeah, leftists have taken over the D Party Leadership, and it's not that different ( just slower ) for R party leaders. It's people that have to be dishonest with themselves because their beliefs about reality don't match facts. Authoritarian Marxists have to lie to everyone to get power. ( who'd support them If they said they wanted to rules as a rich elite over the poor everyone else will become? ) And to sustain the counterfactual thought is crazy making. | ||

Gerard, Communists are more ruthless against disillusioned leftists. The average Joe is not their main concern and it is not likely that he gets lined up against the wall and shot once Communism takes over. Communists have bigger fish to fry than your average Joe. Remember, bullets are expensive and they can only be shot once, there are simply too many average Joe's to be shot by bullets alone. Bullets are reserved for disillusioned leftists. That isn't to say that the average Joe will be treated nicely under Communism, but as long as he doesn't compete with Communists he won't be lined up and shot. As for civil rights, that'll be worth less than toilet paper. Now back to your work camp, you pesky peasant! | ||
