The rear caliper bracket from the S3 with a nissin caliper is the same width as the S1’s with a brembo caliper but the offset is different so it can reach into the hub a little more. The S3 bracket hits the bore of the hub that the rotor sits on.. I was in a hurry and tried to space the caliper bracket with the thin flat washers from the S1 axle but that causes the inboard pad to be pulled against the back of the rotor. ... anyone done this swap? The S1 was build December 1995, it has steel swingarm and brembo caliper. My S3 had cast wheels. |

I have exactly the same problem as this fellow: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/8 33485.html?1532351898 I can clearance a grove into the caliper bracket and shave down the wheel hub where the snap ring goes.. |

For anyone in same same situation I clearances the brake caliper bracket as well as knocking down the hub a little bit. Works fine now. |

I was just thinking about Mike dealing with that as I was reading your post. I was gonna say he might be able to point you in the right direction. Glad you got it sorted. I have a 97 S1 and picked up the newer rear caliper and bracket, hoping it all works with my marchesini wheels. |
