What's MOST impressive to me, is that by the time Quartararo was born, Rossi was ALREADY a professional road racer in the GP circuit. That is AMAZING longevity! |

MotoGP will no longer be broadcast by beIN Sports in the US. NBC now has the contract. I sure hope they do a better job than Fox Sports did with MotoAmerica last year... Viewership for MotoAmerica was up due to the larger audience Fox Sports has over beIN, but the production quality SUCKED. |

Rossi's stepping out before he's completely washed up, which is a good move for him. He's got a lot to offer young racers in the terms of mentoring and direct training. I believe his legacy would be better served by not fizzling out by dragging himself through any more mediocre racing seasons. In other news, with the new season getting into gear we find Quateraro at the top of the time sheets while Marquez recovers from surgery. Not that I don't think he'd be in the top 2 or 3 even if Marquez was in top shape. It's going to be a very interesting season. |

Right now the most interesting I see so far is Dani Pedrosa on the KTM! Damn, they've put some SERIOUS work into that thing. Now it's up to Pol Espargaro and Brad Binder to do something with it... Very curious to see how Lorenzo does on the 2020 M1 tomorrow, too... |

These past few seasons Rossi hasn't been prioritised yet he still manages 2nd's 3rd's 4th's and still finishes the seasons with runner up spot behind Marquez three times in a row. 3rd from top season before last. Put him on a winning bike he'd still be the next best if he couldn't beat Marquez. Yamaha's move seems politically driven rather than achievement based. Rocket in England |

Test times, historically, don't mean much when the season begins BUT Quartararo has been on FIRE this test. Looking at the combined times, the second fastest Yamaha is the "Old Man" that people are always so ready to write off. Marc is recovering from shoulder surgery and if he continues the way he has been his career won't be NEARLY as long as Rossi's. You can't crash as often as he does and stay healthy enough to race for over two decades. Second fastest was Crutchlow on the Honda, which implies MAYBE this year the bike is ridable by more than just one person? Bring on Qatar! |

A pretty strong showing for our guy, 4th is not too bad for the maiden voyage. It was looking like he had it there for a bit, and consistently at the front of the pack for the whole race. |

No COTA till November now. There's a rumor Dorna is reconsidering Indianapolis. Interesting times... MotoAmerica had said they would NOT run at COTA without MotoGP, but no word yet on what they plan to do... |

Bring all the MotoGP riders to the USA, quarantine for a few weeks, then tour North American tracks all season. Problem solved! |

Sooo hows does running Moto2 and Moto3 without GP solve anything? Don't believe the media. FAKE NEWS. Deadly virus. Right. There are some viruses to be scared of and Corona virus is not one of them (unless you are over 70 and in bad health already.). |

The Moto2 and Moto3 riders were already IN Qatar because they were there for testing previously. The MotoGP riders WERE there, but had returned home so when they came back they'd be subject to a two week quarantine period (which would mean they'd miss the race anyway). I just heard F1 will have a race WITHOUT spectators. I wonder how that'll work out for them??? |

Just finished watching the #StayAtHomeGP; it was broadcast live on YouTube. Surprisingly exciting! I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it was the youngest rider to win; probably spent the most time playing video games compared to the others. It was pretty funny to watch, too. Unlike a real race, if a rider crashed he was able to get right back on to his bike and continue onward. I'm sure quite a few of the competitors wish it was like that in real life, too. You should be able to catch it on YouTube shortly if you didn't get to watch it live. |

Looks like we'll have between 12-16 races this year according to the fabulously rich bastard who runs it. |

If/when the season ever gets started in real life, there won't be ANY wild cards in 2020. We'll have to wait till next year to see Jorge line up on the grid in blue again. |

A very interesting story regarding the flag Nicky carried after winning the world title in 2006: https://www.cycleworld.com/sport-rider/back-story- behind-american-flag-that-hayden-carried-on-his-20 06-motogp-championship-victory-lap/ Also, note how Dani Pedrosa was absolved by Nicky himself at the end of the season. I'd also heard stories basically indicating that Dani didn't deserve all the hate he got after Estoril. Alberto Puig, on the other hand? He can rot in Hell. |

DAMN! It looks like Alex Marquez may already be replaced on the Repsol team before he even gets a chance to compete! I can't imagine Marc is going to be happy with that. I wonder if he's trying to figure out how to get out of that four year contract he signed? And why would Honda risk pissing off their golden boy this way? "Silly Season" just got a LOT more interesting... |

What a race! Quateraro becomes the first Frenchman to take the prize since 1999. Well done, Fabio! As an aside, Alex moving to the Satellite time had a lot to do with Crutchlow leaving. Personally, I think I'd have moved Pol to the satellite bike and kept Alex as Marc's teammate... but Alex's performance hasn't been as strong as one might expect for somebody who was so abruptly promoted. Prayers up for Marc, his second crash of the race beat him up pretty bad after one of the most amazing comebacks in GP history. You'll see what I mean when you watch the race. |

Damn, I'm NOT a Marquez fan, but not even I would've wanted what happened to him! With this shortened/compressed season, he, Rins and Crutchlow don't have much to play for beyond bragging rights at this point... |
