Well ...... I did all the paperwork a couple weeks ago..... and today is officially my last day after 13 years with one of the most amazing companies in America. I’ve signed a 5 year deal with a developer to compete for several mega projects ...... just landed the first one and it’s about a stones throw from the door so I’ll be continuing to divide my time between the Hudson Valley, NYC and Wellington, FL. The years have darn sure flown by quick. I’m looking forward to lots of flying, driving and guitar. |

Congratulations, Old Man! I'll probably fall face down in a block of foam one day... (Message edited by Chauly on March 02, 2020) |

Did the same thing, last day is 4-1. Hope I’m not the fool. This is the third time, I keep getting sucked back in. Got an offer to consult and I’m doing that for several other big picture framers as well. Got a house and shop project this year that should keep me pretty busy as well. Hoping to get S2 #1000 restored back to original, I’ve been collecting pets for a few years now. There are 6 S2’s was n the garage along with a few others to play with. Good luck Court, have fun! |

Court, I wish you well with your retirement activities. I've always enjoyed reading your posts, especially your times at Buell. Don't be a stranger. Good luck and God Bless...……….ted |

You have helped me in the past, which will not be forgotten. Keep yourself busy and enjoy this retirement to do the things you love. I hope to see you, once I retire, at a "homecoming" or some other future event. "Live long and prosper". You are a leader here and an inspiration. Now get out and ride! With love in my heart. Some people can't wait to retire. Others can't stop being inspired by what makes them tick. I didn't realize you spent time near WPB. You are within vicinity of 2 xbrr's. I drooled all over them, until I discussed pricing. I didn't realize how much they had appreciated!! |

I will likely never really retire ...... I left my employer, of 13 years, last Friday and we started a new company fueled by the huge demand ...... we’re talking terrawatts .... for wind and solar power. My business, for 54 years as a Lineman, has been building overhead and underground high voltage lines. The more difficult the project the more likely I’ll be involved. The impossible is almost a lock. We specialize in handing from ropes, under helicopters, and building and repairing lines ..... energized or not .... illl do both. We repacked 17 miles on wire while it was energized at 345,000.volts. So ..... at 66 I spend my days .....about 50/50 ..... between West Palm Beach and New York .... riding around in a most interesting F-250 Super Duty with lots of antennas, iPads running ForeFlight and a virtual rolling Motorola showroom .... driving into some of the most interesting areas in America. Turns out everyone wants “Green Energy” which is seldom near where the demand is. I’m in the business of moving LOTS or power from places like wind farms in Northwest NY to Manhattan and projects like Nemo undersea through the fiords and across Norway. Some bank decided we looked like a good 3nough deal to invest $35B so I continue to be stuck here as a construction worker. I consider it a benefit to spend my days in worn out Red Wings in an MD-500. So...... I’ll keep trying to retire ....but, thus far, I keep screwing it up. I’m over Virginia righ5 now, enroute from NY to FL at this awful hour ..... So..... another 3 day “retirement” totally screwed up. |

By the way ..... I’ve not ruled out another book. Some of the 2009 tales of the final days of Buell and first. Days of EBR are nothing short of incredible. In addition to being nearly beyond belief ......they tell the story of some of the most dedicated, focused and amazing folks you could dream of. There are also some really funny .... screw the pooch stories ..... remind me to tell you about the HD real estate “ expert” ..... or better yet, the young neophyte HD legal sent to East Troy to make sure secret prototypes were safe. More testimony to the sheer genius of Erik Buell and the dedication and resourcefulness of some a,axing Elves. Remind me to tell you sometime ...... |

Court, Been many eons since I logged onto Badweb and happy to see you're still telling stories, stringing wire and being you. We're still in NC, have a 6 month old. Colette and Weston is 5 now, almost 6. Crazy times. Shop is built, need to get a project lined up for him. Take care my friend. Glad to see you are well. Prior |

Court, while I would love to see that next Buell /EBR book, I was actually more referring to the autobiographical, working titled, "Remind Me to Tell You Sometime". We've never met, but based on what I've gleaned from your postings here over the years, it might be an interesting read even if you didn't mention a single motorcycle. |

Hahaha . . . . . . I’ve been lucky having stumbled into a raft of places, experiences and adventures over the years. Ahhhhhhhh . . . . . But, the people. From Secret Service and Air Force One . . . . Some characters in the USMC. .. . Fellow athletes ......an Uncle Astronaut.....fellow Professors. . . . One Playmate . . . Amazing motorcyclists and lots and lots of Linemen. . . . .riding motorcycles in 44 states and still carrying.( my personal entertainment for x-ray techs) 98 pieces of #4 shot from a murder attempt with a Remington 1100 and a dent in the roof of my mouth where Larry White shoved the Chief’s Special down my throat. A wild ride to be sure . . . . I’ve been way too lucky. But . . . . The people. That’d be the story. |

Way to go! I am on retirement #2, but just started looking at another shop with a mate. Still got that S-2? If you ever feel the need to release it,I am very interested in getting another. |

Congrats on your retirement and new venture. It sounds very interesting and challenging. Have you noticed any improvement to program efficiency due to regulatory reform? |

Congrats on keeping the wheel turning, Court. Just wondering...has the quarantine and financial turmoil affected your new venture? Best of luck! |
