I'm not a big fan of Israel's government, per se, but it's the freest nation in the region since the Islamists destroyed Lebanon. ( feel free to argue Lebanon was better. Maybe Ur was too. Both are dead. ) And, while this isn't a foolproof metric, Jew haters have pretty consistently proven to be bad news. I'll skip the list. Israel's enemies, like Arafat the thief and Omar the ungrateful are foul examples of humanity. ( I'll concede Omar isn't a proven terrorist ) I have tremendous sympathy for today's Palestinians. Used by the Arabs since 1948? as an excuse for hatred, denied citizenship in the countries they fled to under orders, not of the young Israel, but the Arab/Egyptian/Syrian/Soviet coalition. I admit that after nigh 73 years of propaganda and abuse I don't know how to fix the problem for the people, because just hanging all the evil men in their government wouldn't be enough. There's no generational tradition of free elections and rulers that gracefully step down from power. Seriously, how many rulers have they had? 2. Neither has given up power. | ||

I'd point to Ireland... Yes, they just found a truck bomb that was supposed to disrupt the Brexit celebrations, so there still are serious haters there. But it's much improved from a few decades ago, and genocide, religious terrorism and conquest by a murderous Lord Protector gave Ireland centuries of reason for violence. ( I admit I'm biased  But I also understand why Ireland was conquered. ) | ||

I take my freedom of speech very seriously. So seriously that I make people angry when I defend someone else's right to say things I do not agree with. Especially when that person's speech contains trigger words I disagree with using. It is their right. Talk about burning a flag, and I will talk about not burning a flag. Get out a lighter, and I will get out a fire extinguisher. Words and actions are two different things. Swing at me for a word and I will put you down hard. You can say what you want. Just don't touch. Some of those snooty health care workers need to take care of elderly people that are cranky, or need put down hard. I have a problem with harming those that can not defend themselves. Look what our forefathers did about it. | ||

Massachusetts City Allowing Illegal Aliens to Drive Without A License So how does a cop know if he's dealing with an illegal alien, or just some guy who doesn't have a license? IMHO the elderly suffer less from doctors and nurses in hospitals than they do from family neglect at home. Granted, some of those elderly chase family away. We will be seeing a lot of that in the next decade and it will accelerate. | ||

Some European health systems ( & Obamacare as written ) have age limits on procedures, taking the heartless, pragmatic approach to the inevitable rising needs of people as they age. Including euthanasia, ( they kill you ) as the elderly are highest cost. You might remember Obama's comment about an old lady just being given pain meds instead of getting an expensive operation? Having had 4 insurance plans cancelled in the last 6 years as the insurance companies dropped coverage of my group & cut premium plans ( so forcing us to buy less coverage for more money ) I'm going to be trying to get all my parts replaced with plastic ones before "they" decide to cut my options again. It's just an unpleasant fact that the elderly need more maintenance. If only.... We could impose the same criteria that the Socialized Medicine plans of the Democratic Socialists will put on health care to the Candidates. All the Old Tarts that are in the lead are going to cost the taxpayers more to keep alive than "reasonable" by the System they promise to impose on us, so why allow them to keep running? I wouldn't go as far as Euthanizing the older candidates as someone might think it a threat! While I'm just speculating on the "fairness" of the situation, and how many would approve of cost control...If it doesn't apply to them. | ||
