Shame I have a lifetime that cost $140. I am not mad. I spent over $1,000 for Illinois permits while there. If there is a lifetime permit, always upgrade. Missing renewal and getting caught carrying is expensive. | ||

Yep, they do lifetime for $50 now according to that new proposal. Shame I really love my house. BIGGER shame that it's in the People's Republik...and only half a mile from PA. SO close. Grrrr. | ||

so...I'm a Springfield owner, and SA just started their own forum pages (like, last week). So far, so good...good stuff, seems like good people, and they don't censor for "Springfield only" content. They also do previews of new product, like the new 1911 Ronin Operator, and the new XD-M Elite. This week in guns I outshot someone with their own gun (never gets old), and taught a long term handgun owner how to hold a damn pistol. Apparently none of his big fancy guns ever cared that he was holding them wrong. I've seen NY in the headlines for getting ever more absurd in their ridiculous and useless "gun safety measures." Gun safety is something taught at home...not something imposed by your local, state, and national governments. | ||

There's a reason I'm jealous of your collection/hobby.  And why I don't post pictures of the few weapons I might have. The reproduction armor pics were bragging, and I figured it they come for THAT I'm screwed anyway. Give them time. No, I won't post pics of my steak knives either.  | ||

My stuff? It's all junk, literally. They're either cheap, common, or modified to the point that it's worthless to anyone but me. Once you have NFA items "they" know who you are and where you live, anyway. Paying for your own taxation and registration...what absurdity. Which reminds me...someone left their unregistered suppressor at the range recently. It got destroyed promptly. Why someone would take a chance like that is beyond me. Steak knives, huh?  | ||

I had been looking for a conservation club to join for a while. You know, an out door gun range. I searched a 100 mile radius. Well today I scored. 1 hour 45 minute drive. 25 yard pistol, 50 yard rifle, skeet, and rifle up to 660 yards. $25 dues for the year. Full time range officer, and a complete club house. Place is well kept with a healthy safety program. Looks like I have a place to escape to every month. | ||
