Re the quantum dot thing. I get the idea of describing these in terms of a periodic table. However, the author seems to conflate these artificial atoms with real atoms while simultaneously acknowledging that these ‘dots’ are made up of real atoms, which makes a dot not an atom at all, since it can be cut in half. Atom literally means “uncuttable”. I will be interested to see the first practical use for these things. The applications seem nearly limitless. |

Quantum com outing already hit the next level. In a decade it will be in your phone watch. I'm already posting this from a cheap e-book reader with more computing power than NASA had to go to the moon. That 2030 phone will have more power than the NSA Cray clusters from 2000. And the nano tech medicines, assuming the Green Leap Forward and Medicare For All Illegals doesn't send us back to the 17th century, ( aka the Democrats win ) will have cures... Cyborg diabetes & kidney & heart disease "cures". Or mind control, A.I. Masters, and a sustainable sub billion planetary population. Not enough to bury our dead. We are halfway. To both. |

https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/01/in_au stralia_fires_expose_green_folly.html Australia is suffering a Greenie massacre of people, and more important to TV, cute animals. They've got the twin problems plaguing the American West coast, especially California. Problem 1 is climate. Real local climate, not mythical or real change. A desert interior with an ocean generate hot dry winds that dry out vegetation that, surprise! Is adapted to that annual climate. Annual fires are known to be the normal climate since long before European colonies were there. The natives for thousands of years not only knew about the fires, they used them. There's nothing short of a geo-engineering project of insanely massive scale that can stop this, and only at the expense of the deserts and their ecosystems. ( one science fiction fantasy has a mad scientist dig a sea level canal in a giant spiral from the sea into the center of Australia. The evaporated water turns the desert green. All he needed was a non existent disintigrator and a flying machine. And nobody noticing the greatest eco-crime since Tamerlane. ) Australia, and California's #2 problem is human caused and could be fixed, although it's highly unlikely in CA. Eco-idiot rules on clearing brush and environmental management. California has a third problem that Australia is just seeing recently, government power company regulation and control that won't spend money on burying power lines and clearing power lines of trees etc. And insists on massive pollution causing unreliable intermittent "renewable" power. |

On a hot day you can see clouds of Eucalyptus oil hovering above the trees just waiting for a spark. The leaves of these trees are the staple diet of Koalas. Is it surprising that they’re dying in fires? https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/ eucalyptus/eucalyptus-fire-hazards.htm |

What gets me is the whole Lefty "power to the people" schtick...when all they want to do is take power AWAY from the people: No power to decide where you live. No power to decide where you work. No power to decide how much you make. No power to decide where you get your food, or what sort of food. No power to decide what doctor you see. No power to decide where you educate your kids. No power to decide where you go, or when you go there. No power to decide to take a vacation. Yeah..."power to the people" alright... |

Power to the people is a wholly appropriate slogan. They are empowering people. You know, the ones more equal than the other ones. Communist dictators are people too. |

https://www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2020-1-7- climate-change-advocacy-application-of-science-or- religious-cult We are now in 2 religious wars. I previously posted there were 2 1/2 religions that embraced lies as the means to domination. Now 1 & 1/2 is fully committed to being one. The Watermelon is showing solid Red all the way. St. Greta and the CPUSA are speaking the same satanic gospel. |

I've said for years, it you believe in AGW then you can't let China drive 2 billion SUVs. Or develop out of an agrarian peasant economy with frequent famines. And the only way to stop it, is war. Luckily, we now understand that the only people that believe in AGW are the propagandized. The leaders of the movement don't. They know it's a lie to steal money, freedom & power. The so called science is a scam. They say so now. But yes, no matter what the U.S. does, and we have done better than Germany etc. It would not make a difference even if the B.S. were true. China & India won't go back. The only way to save the planet from REAL pollution, is to help them move forward. Ditto Africa. And the best way is to systematically eliminate the Maoist/Stalinist/Marxist leaders and free the planet. A war we have no desire to be in, but like Islam, one that exists no matter how hard people pretend it doesn't. How to win that war is beyond the scope of this thread. The tech used is worth posting here. |

https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2020/01/10 /joaquin-phoenix-at-jane-fondas-climate-rally-chan ge-your-eating-habits-to-fight-climate-change/ Yeah, he flew in a jet across a big continent to get arrested to show he cares and tell you to not eat meat. If I wasn't lazy, I'd start a new movement to save the environment by not going to the movies, so actors couldn't afford to fly jets everywhere they go. THAT would change things. Right after the Harley Quinn and Black Widow movies. I really want to see them. |

Iirc the last big ice sheet extended to about where Seattle is now. Here, my house was under thousands of feet of ice. But don't worry about that this year. |

Studs are for ice. I need a pair of studded tires for my bicycle. ( already on the minivan ) You need big knobs for snow. A sidecar helps. It's the time of year for a Ural. |
