Just so we are clear here. This isn't the citizens of our country who have been indoctrinated, that are awful evil totalitarian dictator wannabes. It's the leadership, and increasingly the spiritual brethren of the Klan, Pol Pot, and KGB that infest our campuses. If you read Obama's ghost written Biography, ( Ayers once claimed authorship. ) you know he sought out and hung around with the communist agitators, back in a lazier day. I was on campus as a student after the Vietnam War protest days, Same as Barry The Weasel, and my slice of a generation was reviled for not being activist enough. We wanted jobs, sex, and recreational drugs, ( mostly beer ) not confrontation. The War was over. Many Vets were in my classes. Why rock the boat? Those of us who had paid attention saw that the radicals had changed the world, but not the way they thought they were going to. The most hated President since Lincoln had ended the War, not the Protesters. The dirty hippies were looking for work, with short hair and ties. The same professors were still calling for Change! but the turtlenecks and Mao jackets looked as pretentious as tweed & elbow patches. Perspective is a Bitch. | ||

Some of us are able to self-defend...but you are correct, it's a shame there aren't more of us here. At least VA has started to develop some "2A sanctuary" counties...wish we could do some of that here in MD. Probably never happen closer to the swamp, but out here in mid-MD or out in western MD the idea could gain a lot of traction. | ||

You make a good point. On a global scale it would be better to fight the Cuban supported Venezuelan dictatorship to reduce AIDS than another poverty program failure in the U.S. But it's inescapable that poor folk can't afford to buy expensive medication & don't have reliable consistent lives that would let them deal with a health oriented lifestyle. The phrase " poor are hardest hit" applies truthfully to every crisis on the planet. What to do about that has appeared to be an impossible task. Jesus of Nazareth said the poor will always be with us. It's not a new problem. The best results in all of human history have been the imperfect results of Capitalism, American Freedoms, and Christian Charity. All are under serious attack. | ||

No, it's caused by sharing intimate bodily fluids. The 2 main factors being using other people's needles & unprotected sex. Free needles are not always available from tax paid programs without bothering to go get them. Ditto condoms and dental dams. So although recreational drug use is condoned and sex without consequences is promised, there just isn't a strong enough effort by those politicians to make sure every poor person has the means to do both without any effort on their part. Thus a trillion dollar program of door to door free delivery of needles, condoms, lube, and pure, inspected heroin is needed to fight AIDS among the poor. Of course, "your kind" will say that personal responsibility and impulse control is a better answer. Which just shows how disconnected from Democrat ideals you are. | ||

It’s about time. Sadly, I doubt few will care about this. It's old news. Beyond that, those who need to be convinced of these wrongdoings, are almost certainly never going to believe the truth about what happened.
