I agree. For years, my criteria has been "consenting" & "adults". Everything else isn't my business. But I'm pretty adamant on those 2 aspects. The difference is, you & I believe in tolerance and choice and none of your business. The Left believes in forced by government compliance. Zero tolerance for questioning or dissent. I don't care if you believe a man can't get pregnant. ( or the other way around, I don't care, but I'll mock you  ) But "THEY" will label you a racist if you disagree with them. If someone was enjoying statutory rape vacations with the murdered blackmailing Epstein or on their own they should be prosecuted and sent to prison where child abusers have a very short hard time. Over a year ago a buddy who watches "fringe" pundits was going on & on about the pedo rape culture in Hollywood and D.C. I figured it crazy talk. I was wrong. This is real, and scary wide spread. I'll only address the racism here... I understand the fear of "the Other" re: immigration and demographic trends. People taking jobs "Americans won't do" ( for what they want to pay ) is a real problem and not just here. Cheap imported immigrant labor powers wages for natives ( and legal immigrants ) and exploits the newcomers. Here it's mostly a combination of illegal, refugee, and tech ( see Disney firing American workers after they train their work visa foreign replacements ) but in Europe it's mostly N. African ( France ) and middle East and Balkans. Germany imported a lot of Turks to work the factories as their demographic slide into extinction became obvious. If you don't reproduce, you vanish, and 18-20th century First World countries have shrinking populations. Blame the ability to choose, and the illusion that wealth makes it so you don't need as many children to support you when you're old. That's a whole subject of it's own. In the 21st century, immigration seems to be dominated by refugees from the War on Terror, Obama's Wars,(Arab spring) etc. I predict the near future will be dominated by a Chinese Exodus. The demographics just are. The forces of population pressure and war haven't changed, nor the effects. The rate of change may be changing, but that is a common misconception with time. "Future Shock" might just be the perception that Now is the logarithmic middle/normal... Each year, each week and day, is a smaller percentage of your memory. Time lines are commonly logarithmic, as importance recedes in time. As to Race? That's an illusion of a stupid and bad part of long, hard, slooow travel until post WW2 commercial aviation and satellite communication. We're all alone together on our little blue marble hurling in irregular ellipses around a variable nuclear explosion. I hope the world can dump the Colonial era racism as America dumped the Divine Right of Kings. | ||
