I bought a RED 1995 S2 Thunderbolt a while back and it had NEVER had a new drive belt or the rubber vibration isolators, so I installed both of those things Am now fixing the Ronald McDonald Red...painting it Obsidian BLUE (gonna have original decals in White) and here is my buddy (a VERY GOOD painter and graphics guy) painting it in my driveway---same place we painted a couple other bikes that came out GORGEOUS!

Hi Don, Is that bike number 1093 that was for sale on Craigslist in Carson City last year? If not, if you would tell us the last 4 digits of your VIN number so we can add you to the S2 Registry Thanks, Andrew (tigermann) |

Andrew, Yes..it IS 1093..a 1995 S2. I bought it from a guy in the south end of Washoe Valley, which would be considered Carson City around here and I DID find it on Craigslist. It DID come with a good title and some of the "signature" documentation and the replacement cover for the end of the crank case, too. The letter had been lost somewhere along the way by the original owner, so I didn't manage to get that, though. And, as you can see by the front fender in the bottom picture, it DID start out as "SNAP RED". I really didn't care for the red (I call that "Ronald MacDonald RED") and I also needed to make a couple of fiberglass repairs from where the Bikini fairing had been cracked around the left mirror mount when the machine fell over in the PO's garage, so I took the opportunity to paint it a Honda car color called Obsidian BLUE as I knew that I'd ruin at least part of the paint when I did the repair. It also had 3 different kinds of turn signals on it, so I bought 4 to replace them that are the same rectangular shape, although they are somewhat smaller than the originals. I also had to replace the seat, which had the base cracked pretty badly and the cover torn up from the "fall over" The replacement I got is apparently from the next later model as it has a slightly different set of mounts on the bottom side of the base, though I have changed those to be more like the originals. |

Oh...and I was incorrect when I put that the odometer was around 10,000 in my profile. I just check again and it is a tad over 13,800.
