The Ulysses made it to Nova Scotia and half way back unfortunately. Bad crank bearing according to the HD guys in Honesdale, PA. Also according to them it's a multi-thousand dollar repair in excess of anything for sale on Cycletrader. So any quick thoughts are what my options are for an '06 with about 52,000 miles, a rear tire with 200 miles , and new rear bearings, axle, and belt (as of leaving Atlanta). 1. Fix it, 2. Sell it, 3. Part it out. 4. ??? |

If it was my motorcycle I would buy working engine on eBay, sell the broken engine. But it is only because of my Buell is custom with a lot of work put on it. If it would be stock Buell I would trash this piece of crap and would buy modern Japanese motorcycle. (Message edited by Tpehak on October 16, 2019) |

I plan on this happening to my '06 one day and I will rebuild myself. I will only be out the cost of parts and gain some valuable experience and better understanding of the engine in the process. |
