2009 uly has stumbled or misfire only after refueling. The bike starts fine and runs great except after refueling Other than that the bike runs fine. It has original fuel pump with 64000 miles. AFV is 90 |

Install fuel pressure gauge and monitor fuel pressure. https://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?55083 -Buell-XB-fuel-pressure-gauge&p=608998&viewfull=1# post608998 But the problem might be related to the fact, that your motorcycle is hot when you refueling and then you start it withing a few minutes after stopping it hot, and not related to adding fuel. Try to simulate the situation with refueling but without refueling. Stop hot motorcycle, wait a few minutes, then start it. If it acts the same stop it again and let it completely cool down for 6-8 hours, then start it again. If the issue is not presented the issue is not related to the refueling but related maybe to temperature, maybe bad temperature sensor, maybe bad O2 sensor, maybe bad TPS, etc. If the issue is presented in both cases or if the issue is not presented when you start it hot with not refueling with low fuel level the problem might be related to fuel delivery system. Some info I left out the issue takes about 30 seconds to one minute after refueling. The bike starts up normal but if I let it idle or take off down the road that's when the issue appears. If I take off when the issue occurs it will clear up in a few miles. If I let it idle it gets worse |

Will first do the stop test today without the fuel pump gauge test first |

Ok test completed and bike ran bad by simulating a fuel stop. Results were negative. Trouble shooting with bi directional ECM Droid revealed the cooling fan wasn't operating. I check fuse it was good.R&R fan with new one and ops check was good. While there I put in new O2 sensor and new ET sensor. Did a ride refueled so far all is nominal. P.S bike had no trouble light for the fan fault and I never heard it running anyway. Hearing sucks |

Did you trigger fan in ECM Droid and it did not start? And new fan works? So if the old fan does not work and does not blow the fuse it has broken wire probably. You can check it with tester and maybe find the broken wire and repair it. Why do you replace the engine temperature sensor? Is it bad? Did you check engine temperature in ECM? My ECM program is set to speed based fan control. It starts fan with lower temperature during idle, it also starts fan at speed above 15 mph regarding temperature. So you can definitely say if fan works or not. I believe it is better because of it keeps engine cooler, lets you know the fan is operational, saves battery energy because of it turns ON at speed when engine RPM is higher and rectifier output is higher, increases lifespan of voltage regulator because of it sucks energy at speed when RPM is high instead of letting this energy dissipated through voltage regulator radiator when fan does not work at high RPM which causes higher voltage regulator temperature. I believe speed based fan control is default on 2010 Buell XB models. (Message edited by TPEHAK on October 13, 2019) |

I got 64,000 miles and while I had everything apart I decided what the heck and change that ET,O2 and IAT. I kept all parts that I removed. But the external fan wiring looked good. Bike is running great! Yes I loaded the parts cannon. I will further investigate the removed fan. Oh the fan ran when I turned the bike off for about Minute. I haven't heard that sound in a while. |

Yes I did trigger the fan on ECM droid and it didn't turn on.The new fan did turn on when triggered |

OK, so you did not check the fan with ECM. You can make sure if the fan works or not by triggering fan in ECM Droid. The issue might be the fan circuit connection is intermittent and it might work during ECM Droid test and then stop working during riding. But if the old fan does not work during ECM Droid test run and new fan works during ECM Droid test run then the old fan is 100% bad. (Message edited by TPEHAK on October 13, 2019) |

Just out of curiosity Alan, does your bike have a California vapor canister? Are you still at the Cape? |
