I have been buying parts from the HD dealer and many, many of the parts now are "Pending obsolete" or obsolete for the Blast. Now that my Blast has 24,000 on it, there is some internal wear (80 psi), there are no pistons, rings, or carbs and many other fundamental parts available. I can't find those parts and no XB9 substitutes either online. To refurb this engine, I might have to get a 515cc kit, do you think? |

As long as you buy a newer kit you’ll be fine. |

I recently won a Revolution Performance 515 kit and will be putting my Blast engine together shortly. |

The lack of activity here is what I had thought this post title was about! Has anyone played around with putting in a heavier flywheel? There's a couple different reasons why I'm asking. I've killed the engine at stoplights a few times because I forgot to get engine going 1st. A heavier flywheel would help a lot with that. I think the engine revs fast enough when under way, I'd like to see that slowed down just until it begins to make a difference The other reason is, if I do decide to bore the case & throw in a bigger jug, I am definitely going to want a much heavier flywheel. So I'd like to know ahead of time what the best options are |
