Is Broaster Chicken going to sponsor a team for the full season in 2020? |

Broaster: Unknown at this time. I know they've had options even for this year, but they couldn't come up with a good package with a competent team. I guess we'll see! |

I know it's nearly a year away, but I'm already looking forward to going to Indianapolis. Besides the facility itself, there's just so much more to do and see in Indianapolis than Millville, NJ or Wampam, PA after all. Looking forward to "Motorcycles on Meridian" again. I also like the fact that the MotoAmerica racers are so much more accessible than those high-priced "prima donnas" in MotoGP (sarcasm, okay?). Contrast Jorge Lorenzo trying to bull his way through the crowd on his scooter compared to Josh Hayes rushing off to be somewhere. We asked Hayes if we could take his picture and he first stopped to say that he was REALLY in a hurry... but then he reconsidered and said "Sure, come on over here!" and let us be photographed with him. Lorenzo wouldn't even acknowledge our existence. OTOH, Marco Simoncelli was delighted people recognized him and really liked to interact with the crowd. Damn shame he was taken from us so soon. |

Hayes has always been "in a rush". His gig last year as the public liaison for Yamaha was a joke because that's just not his personality. Totally agree on the MotoGP racers. Very inaccessible. The only time you could really see some of the racers was at the end of the day when some of them would walk from the paddock area to the parking lot...however most of them got rides thru the crowd. We didn't even try at Laguna Seca (except at the end of the day.) WSBK is WAAAY different. Those guys are very accessible and nice! Something about the Euros. More friendly and jovial than Americans. Not just the racers, but the Euro pit crews as well. Late Sunday afternoon in the WSBK paddock is great. Pit crews are breaking down the equipment while the racers are just hanging out with them. Virtually all the crowd has left to fight traffic and it's just the hard core campers like us who are staying until Monday. Everyone is in a great mood because the weekend is over and in the case of Laguna, they are SO close to their summer break! |

CamBee did it, but PJ didn't. As we Mets fans say: "There's always next year." WEIRD outcome to yesterday's SuperSport race though... |

Wow! Where does this leave JD Beach? https://www.superbikeplanet.com/factory-yamaha-mot oamerica-team-to-be-run-through-attack-in-2020/ |

What a poorly written article on stupidbikeplanet. HOwever if this is indeed accurate information, this can only be seen as one of the two factory teams leaving the MA paddock. Not good news for MA. |

Well, I guess we know now that JD Beach will most likely ride alongside Beaubier next year with Gerloff off to WSBK. |

I'm hearing there might be factory bikes in the MotoAmerica paddock that will be wearing green.

It makes sense. The WSBK technology crosses over well. I hope it happens. And they aren't paying a monstrous bill for a MotoGp team either. |

According to Greg White, other than tires the only difference between the factory Yamahas in WSBK and MotoAmerica is that the WSBK bikes have a rev-limiter... |

Just saw the OFFICIAL announcement from MotoAmerica. Gerloff is apparently getting Melandri's seat on the GRT Yamaha squad. Let's hope he does a lot better than Herrin did when he was on the international stage. Personally, I think Jacobsen and Gagne did just fine in WSBK considering the POS Honda they had to deal with. Gerloff doesn't have that excuse... Van Der Mark and Lowes have shown just how competitive the WSBK YZF-R1 can be. |

Finally; an American that I can cheer for. I agree the Yamaha is competitive so let's hope he's toward the front by mid season, and winning as he did in MotoA!! |

More strange news: Beaubier's team mate next year will be Jake Gagne! No word as yet as to what is happening with JD Beach who raced with Attack Performance in 2019. |

Maybe Eslick gets his ride back on the BMW. Gagne didn't have any better results than Eslick... |

JD was one of the best in the MA paddock. Too bad. Is flat track a bigger draw than road racing here in the US? I have never been to a flat track event. |

The few races I've been to have always been PACKED. The problem is, they're held at night and this old fart can't keep his eyes open. There are also far more flat track courses than there are road courses. Americans seem to like races run on ovals counter-clockwise... |

That's because Flat Track requires a different skill set than Road Racing. |

AFT seem to have the Nascar model going now with 16 full time teams in the premier class for 2020 and beyond. more races and better payouts through the year doesn't hurt either. |

Guys going around in a circle is BORING....when are Americans going to figure it out? |

Ordered my three-day GA tickets for Indianapolis before the December 1 deadline. Looking forward to going back to the brick yard next summer! Looks like you have to pay extra for paddock access though. That's okay; I can see and talk to everyone just fine later in the season at NJMP. |

The paddock access fee at Indy caused serious angst with my local buddies. MotoAmerica paddock access has always been at no extra charge, so I emailed MotoAmerica to get a clarification. Paul Caruthers responded that the paddock will be accessible as has always been the case for MotoAmerica races. No other explanation of the special fee, but it must be for hot pit access or some kind of special package. |

So are we talking about watching or doing? Let's not get the two confused... But to reiterate, road racing is superior to flat-tracking and anything else that goes round and round and round and round in a circle. |

I did go to a couple of Indy Mile events when they coincided with the Indianapolis MotoGP. I saw Kenny Roberts tear up the track on the two-stroke TZ750-based flat tracker and I got to see Nicky Hayden another year do the same with a Ducati flat tracker. I was actually bored to tears with the actual racing and my friends had to wake me up for the ride home the second (and last) time we went. |
